You turn off the camera and take them into a back alley.
War isn't pretty and there's only so much you can do, but filming the execution isn't helping anyone. How do they expect western support if they keep breaking western ROE.
They're an Islamist group what the fuck would they want Western support for??
A great deal of political Islam is ideologically opposed to the paternalistic approach administered by the West.
I won't pretend to know why they really killed these men, but I'm willing to bet the act of killing Alawi regime supporters will curry this group some favour with a larger Islamist movement in the region.

nonono you're executing them wrong! gosh.
i watched question time last night and the subject of syria came up. it's like the panel hasn't seen videos like this. they talked like they still think there's some semblance of control and command and organisation. a black vs white situation. one of them even asked the question "should we arm the rebels?" which for some reason wasn't answered with the obvious "fuck no of course not you moron"

Or better yet, not at all.
as if war is ever nothing but a crime
Oh god, the guy in the white shirt.
'Good guys'
yes every single rebel fighting Assads regime is a freedom hating islamist throat cutting terrorist
i never really understood religious extremist, isn't killing a person against any sort of fucking religion no matter what justice you're getting out of it
Allah Akbar!
i never really understood religious extremist, isn't killing a person against any sort of fucking religion no matter what justice you're getting out of it
People will always find a way of justifying murder in the name of their religion.
"Let me just execute these 11 peeps and then allah will be proud of me and I can go to heaven"
With all this bullshit over the past few months I'e started to wonder if we should even be supporting these guys.

uuh. NOT doing what these people did in the video is a direct violation of commandments from the quran. this is not extremism. in fact extremism is a pretty useless word. these people are doing exactly what the quran tells them to do and anyone opposed to what they do also deserves death according to the quran. you have an extremely distorted view of what religion is.

can you please quote the passage in the quran that says "take no prisoners in wars. execute everyone"? this isn't even a religious conflict; it's a civil war

You again.

THE passage? well I can quote one of them. it's a civil war that only exists because one side of the war wants to secure the nation for their god. the fact that you seriously just said ''this isn't even a religious conflict'' makes it very difficult to take anything you say seriously.
well I can quote one of them
go on...
The fact that I just watched 11 people die is seriously bothering me. It's like they were nothing.
And can someone explain the allah ackbar thing, it seems odd to keep repeating it.
can you please quote the passage in the quran that says "take no prisoners in wars. execute everyone"?
2:191 And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.
5:33 The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified
4:89 But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever you find them.
8:39 Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme
Doesn't fucking matter what the men they're executing did. Doesn't matter if they raped 100 women and burnt down a school full of orphans. Executing POW's is a war crime and absolutely despicable. The fact you're seemingly OK with POW's being executed because they might have been bad people is pretty disgusting.
I fully agree with you, but there ain't no Geneva Convention in the Middle East. They could give a fuck what the rest of the world thinks the rules of war are, and nobody is in a position to tell them otherwise.

Apparently it roughly translates into "Oh my god", but they seem to use it in honestly quite strange contexts.
It must have been terrifying for the victims to hear those shots, knowing that in any second you will die.
You again.
go ahead, amuse me. try arguing with fact.

Allahu ackbar means 'Allah is great'.

yeh i was expecting these
it doesn't sit with me though. this is 2013. religion isn't what it once was. people pick and choose and make their own judgments on these texts and take their own lessons. 99% of muslims don't go around killing non-believers and don't wish harm on anyone. for most people, religion just offers a meaning to life and a mantra that, basically, you should be nice to people. there's passages like the ones you've quoted here in the bible that are almost exactly the same and yet my catholic grandad isn't going around murdering muslims because, at the end of the day, he doesn't take everything from a 2000 year-old book seriously
regardless, the people being killed in this video probably aren't even non-believers because like 75% of syria is muslim. these type of extremists aren't interested in religion, it's just a screen for their power-obsessions

they are non believers by definition of islam. do you think you're telling me anything new by saying there are muslims that don't kill non believers? I don't care how desperate these people are to have ''meaning'' in their life. if that's so important to them that they're willing to align themselves with a hateful, destructive religion that causes millions of people pain every day, then as far as I'm concerned they can go ahead and get executed by rebels because they're fucking scum. you either believe a religion or you don't, and these rebels are one of few examples of people who actually do. everyone else is making a decision to be part of this. maybe they don't really believe it, maybe they do. it doesn't matter. they have a choice and they've made it.

Man, have you seen the video in which they hit a T-72 with a Kornet?
They are speaking normally until they set up the Kornet, and then they go "allah ackbar allah ackbar allah ackbar allah ackbar" for 30 secs straight. It becomes even more funny/fucked up (depends on how you see it) when it hits the T-72, they raise their arms and start screaming with more excitement "ALLAH ACKBAR ALLAH ACKBAR"
EDIT: Forgot to mention. It's not like they all start at the same time. They are speaking normally and then you can hear the "allah ackbar " in the background, they stop talking and 1 by 1 they start saying it.
IT'S A MAD MEN WORLD.

jesus the hypocrisy here is frightening. islam is hateful and destructive but your comments that anyone who is muslim (over one billion people) can just fucking die is okay? you're far more frightening than anything i've ever read in the quran. you're fucking mental
you either believe a religion or you don't
that isn't true at all and there's tonnes of sociological studies on this and the nature of modern religion, belief, and knowledge. you can't lump your average muslim living in a uk suburb, going to the mosque once a week, in with extremists chopping people's heads off

He's actually kind of wrong. Allah Akbar is most commonly translated to God is Great. The context it's used in is generally much wider than "Oh my God". It can be used in just about any context, happiness, excitement, sadness, fear, anger, etc.
