From what I've read about the characters I'd say that pose isn't fitting to either of them. That hip-cocked, bent-back pose just screams 'check out my ass'. It's not a natural way anyone would stand, unless they're trying to be provocative.
I think the difference is just that it's a little more obvious with Tracer. Brighter color, less greeble, asscrack instead of robo-thong.

yeah, the pose is total dogshit - i don't think it would fit any character, even widowmaker; not because the pose is sexualized but because it just looks bad

My favorite kind of irony, the type that backfires hard against original intentions.
So I guess it turns out the pose isn't even in the game and people were trying to use it as a means to say "Oh they're only doing it because she's a female." which doesn't even make a lick of fucking sense considering the genji pose is, you know, fake and it really proves nothing. Not to mention that the whole "they're only doing it because she's a female" is total bullshit in the first place as I explained earlier with Widowmaker.
Gender shouldn't been relevant. I regret the moment when I simplified it to "he's a dude" when I should've actually said "It's because he has no ass." because now people are making accusations that I think that because he's a male, he gets a free pass, and nothing else even though I've stated several times that, in my opinion, he has 0 sexual appeal.
And there's another problem with me saying that he has 0 sexual appeal, the argument is now in official opinion-that-can-never-be-changed territory where we're actually debating what we find sexuallity attractive. It's similar to a heterosexual saying that he doesn't find this man attractive and getting flak for it because a homosexual does. Personally, I'm not attracted to robots and, at the time, I didn't think that the majority of people playing this game would fantasize about screwing hard-metal robot ass because it's such a niche thing but I guess I'm wrong about that. It is why I started saying "If you can get a developer to agree that genji is currently being sexualised, then I will admit I am wrong" because judging by most people's responses, he is apparently being sexualised in that pose.
And that goes both ways. People thought tracer was being sexualised, and people thought she wasn't. The people who made her thought she was so as a result her pose was removed. People think Genji is being sexualised in that picture, I do not.
Really what comes down to is what the people in power think. The creators of that character thought that a pose wasn't good for that character, and then took it down. If you are genuinely upset about the fact that the pose was removed from the game, go get the attention of the developers. Start a petition. Make a thread.
