to be honest I want to see how classic Detroit "Motor City Muscle" types are reacting to Tesla, actual gearheads who like their hefty mechanical engineering instead of just dealerships trying to prevent a sales uprising
I don't like driving electric cars because no gears always felt odd to me, CVTs and Automatics alike, gears are a great part of the driving experience for me. And no noise is a bit odd to me too, I like the engine's noise. I am the sort of person for whom driving must be 50% utility and 50% fun/enjoyability, not just a way to get to places. [editline]16th May 2013[/editline]
Couldn't Tesla just get their own 3rd party resellers?
That defeats the purpose, they're trying to fight this bullshit.
Is there even a reason we're not buying cars online and having them delivered yet anyway?
I don't get what's bad with undercutting a competitor.
If you're doing it anti-competitively it causes problems for everyone (let's say a new store opens up, we'll call it Mal-Wart, and they use their massive bank account to sell everything at a loss and absorb the hit long enough to drive everyone else out of business before jacking their prices up) but Tesla is a niche company and hardly a threat to anyone
Okay wait wait wait now You of all people are now arguing for regulating the market?
I've never said that the government shouldn't regulate all industry.
