Watch, Obama will some how try to block this.
HE HAS BEEN OPENLY ENCOURAGING DOMESTIC DRILLING THAT ISN'T OFFSHORE WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING /c
Actually I don't think the US has ever made a thorium reactor. But it has been 40 years since the last uranium reactor.
Because people are scared of a ghost that happened in a country that had shoddy safety inspections and because of one potential melt down that was averted because of safety standards.

God damn stupid people. And the I'm pretty sure the US did? At Oak Ridge?
I really hope this means $2.00 gas.
:fsmug: Who needs Saudi Arabia for Oil?
You get most of your oil from Canada, not Saudi Arabia
While it's good theyve found oil, it's not good that they are doing this to habitable U.S. soil that this drilling will end up majorly polluting.
We'll never hear about this again.
You get most of your oil from Canada, not Saudi Arabia
And now we can merge our common interest, and be full on North American bros' and not have too worry about common interest... Instead we have to worry about giving each other a good hug. :canada: :respek: :911:
How convenient seeing as the oil supplies were reported to be over stated by 20-40% like half a week ago...
How convenient seeing as the oil supplies were reported to be over stated by 20-40% like half a week ago...
A few of my family members made a comment on this. "You wanna know why we take their oil? Cause when shit hits the fan, and they run out we can use our oil, and become rich bastards out of it. "
This should put off the 'oil apocalypse' for a while...
And then renewable energy is put off
Just delaying the inevitable. Doesn't really matter if cheap oil runs out in 30 years or 50 years we need to find an alternative. Although this does buy us a bit more time.
AND THERE GOES THE ENVIRONMENT Yeah seriously this is like Greenpeace's Nightmare
Because drilling into more oil deposits is totally like burning down thousands of forests.
Because drilling into more oil deposits is totally like burning down thousands of forests.
Um yeah it is actually really really bad for the environment. Read up on it sometime its not just putting a hole in the ground.
Because drilling into more oil deposits is totally like burning down thousands of forests.
No it's worse because it directly effects everyone living around the operation.

A guy came through my checkstand a couple days ago, he is an inventor and has been building an engine that runs literally off of air. Only air, basically power your entire house off of something the size of a school locker. Well he is trying to patent it now and the government sent some people to his house saying his patent will never reach the light of day and will never go into production. Something along the lines of our country's economy is based off of oil and the war for it.
and yet petrol in the UK will continue to rise past stupidly high levels [editline]11th February 2011[/editline]
A guy came through my checkstand a couple days ago, he is an inventor and has been building an engine that runs literally off of air. Although this does buy us a bit more time.
There are alternatives that are being stopped from use since the amount of money oil companies get from oil is waaay more than any other energy source, i'm sure once it does run out though they'll start using more efficient methods and charging huge amounts of money for that as well.
GOD DAMNIT! This is exactly the opposite what should happen.
This shit happens all the time, you can find loads of methods to make efficient power for cars etc etc but they're all brought out by oil companies and scrapped.
I would dearly like to murder all the people who pull this shit
I would dearly like to murder all the people who pull this shit
You would just about kill everyone then, 'rug pulling' as it's commonly referred, is almost in the same ground level as blackmail, gossip, and cover-uping. You can't seriously say you haven't done one of those... I'm not going to say its human nature or instinct, but it's pretty damn close too being that.
And I bet the Gas Prices still go up, shame
Come on! Lower production so that it lasts longer, and step up the development of hydrogen storage and transportation! I'm getting sick of electric cars. For one, they look ugly, and I hate that technology is going backwards and returning to batteries, of which the raw materials to make them is limited and just as poisonous!

Fuck nature, fuck expensive fuel!
Oil price goes up, oil price goes down. You can't explain that. Never a miscommunication.
Winner ratings, oh wow haha talking about the oil crisis closing up and the great America spends billions on some deep oil drilling. i don't necessarily calll it a bad investment
Gives us more time I guess to actually find a way of not using fossil fuels...
I think this guy might be crazy. Did he look crazy?
Haven't you guys heard of that? I saw it on daily planet, and it is some kind of cube thing that if it was the size of a gamecube, it could power your entire home for a loooong time. It was some Indian scientist that was doing it for NASA or something like that IIRC.
