So the lead designer of CoH died tragically. Rest in Peace, it is so sad he won't be able to re-spawn.

This.
What an amazing man. <3
All the great good hearted people in this world get killed by drunk/drugged up idiots, sad shit :smith:
Holy Shit! That's badass man! May he rest in peace, my heart goes out to him and his family.
It's sad knowing we'll all forget him in the next couple years.
Kind of stupid, there was probably a good number of other ways to get out of that kind of perdicament. Plus how did they know he "took the blunt of the crash". Maybe it was a coincidence.
Most crashes happen in very little time. He probably had just enough time brake and turn.
Or it could have happened during a bend in the road or a hill, which means he would have been blind and only seen the car a second or two before impact.
I read shit about murder and death and rape every day that makes me ashamed and fearful to be living on this planet, but hearing about stuff like this and the true goodness in people makes it all worthwhile. This man is a hero.
The driver, Jordyn Weichert, 21, is now in custody awaiting formal charges of three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault, likely to be laid by Thursday.
Good. What a cunt.
While it's nice and all, I doubt that in 0.003 seconds he went "Hmm, if I do a handbrake turn an align my side of the car with this oncoming vehicle, I will take the force of the impact and thereby most likely save my wife and child. Yes. Yes! I will do just that! *swerve*".
In reality he probably just swerved for the sake of swerving, or hit the brakes too hard and spun out, or something like that.
But it's nice to think that he maybe did this really heroic thing to save his wife and babby.
the story is quite sad, I will admit that. :saddowns:
The only thing I'm laughing about though are the funny ratings. I mean it's like people just want to see the world burn.
Considering the state of the world as it is, it should burn.
any pic of that bitch who caused the accident?
I first read this on kotaku, I wish Washington could make the news without somebody dying :frown:
It was all an "accident" organized by Bobby Kotick. It's the only way such a badass could die.
I shed many manly tears.
I'll be a father in <1 week. This article was painful to read.
Fuck... If I was the driver, I would have swerved so it hit the chick.
:downsbravo:

Maybe, maybe not.
How would we know unless we were in that position?
True modern day hero.
Almost shed a man tear until i read that the driver that drove over the centre was trying to putt on a sweater while driving
God :\
Depriving a child of a parent is the worst.
This man would've been an amazing and caring father.
Wow. Being put in that situation so quickly, and him having such a strong decision is amazing. I huge act of kindness.
:( What a sad story, that's an incredibley brave thing to do.

Your brain makes decisions rather fast in situations like that. You have to experience it to know what it's like.
I hope the idiot driver who caused all this shit gets a long fucking sentence. Who thought that taking a sweater on while driving was a good idea?
Oh look at that. Drugs, of course. REST IN PIECE!
Your brain makes decisions rather fast in situations like that. You have to experience it to know what it's like.
Yeah it's like turning a corner on your bike, seeing a big ass car pulling up from the road, and notice he isn't looking at you/noticing you.
You can't turn away on a bike.
You usually can't brake in time, if the distance is too short
So your brain reacts impulsively and you either
1] Jump off the bike
2] Try your best to get parallel with the car
3] Some movie shit

Indeed, but it shows us the kind of man he was, and the kind of father he would have been.
His wife chose a great man. RIP.
I really can't say more than: That guy was a hero.
Vindictive assholes everywhere. (Guess what, hoping the other drivers rot in jail for eternity accomplishes nothing.)
Also, anyone who wouldn't have done everything in their power to save their child's life would be an idiot.
