Sticks and stones may break my bones but now with amazing regenerating gel you can never hurt me.
Hellsing?
I'll be happy when they can grow new body parts. :v:
Is this one of those things that won't be used for another 10 years?
Probably longer... Some religious group or some other group will claim that it is against nature and God doesn't want it done. It will turn into the new abortion topic or the new stem cell research.
fuck yeah bacta tanks
This is unbelievably awesome.
Whats the catch? :crossarms: Is it like, not gonna be ready for like, 20 years? is it impractically slow?
So do you apply this shit to the injury or do you eat/drink it?
So do you apply this shit to the injury or do you eat/drink it?
It's a suppository.

Woah better start saving up bottle caps, those stempacks are expensive.
This is great news considering my mom died from a brain aneurysm.
Now all we need is to is genetically engineer an organ to synthesize this stuff, and distribute it around the body as needed.
So say you were a soldier with that organ, and you get shot in a vital organ (excluding the brain). All you'd have to do to go from very wounded to fully healed would be to run and find cover, right? Sounds familiar...
The technology is here to do a lot of things, they just aren't ready for the public.
This is great news considering my mom died from a brain aneurysm.
How is that good news for you? Is it geneticcally transferable?
How is that good news for you? Is it geneticcally transferable?
I don't think it is.
Next science should disprove god.
Since it only encourages growth of dead brain cells, and cancer is a mutation of a cell, not its death, I'm not so sure. Although this does make me wonder about the ethical implications in case of impending brain death
What about in combination with chemo therapy or any other treatment? It might work as a protective agent towards the surrounding tissue.
But how fast does this work on say for example, a broken arm?
ffs people Rat brains aren't complex. It took twelve weeks for them to regenerate after a bad injury- that's roughly four months. The human brain? Way bigger, way more complex. You'd be unconscious the entire time. Same for bone tissue. It'd be a slow, month-long process. This would be intensive care constant pain kind of stuff, not LOL MEDKIT.
Now we just need a heavily armored, 1-ton exoskeleton with the capability to distribute that stuff withing seconds of injury. And a motorcycle helmet.

To hell with cancer treatment. I want to cut myself in half vertically, spread the gel over the open half on both, and have two of me.
Now to insert it into some kind of stimulatory pack of some kind... but whatever would we call it?
Übercharge?

I can see us drinking bottles of these as 1up packs =D
Stem-cells should be renamed miracle cells.
what's it made from, aborted babies? You can't make any good medicine without dead babies.
