[release](CNN) – Former first lady Barbara Bush on Monday said she was not a fan of the current presidential race.
"It's been, I think, the worst campaign I've ever seen in my life. I hate it," Bush said at a conference at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. "I hate the fact that people think 'compromise' is a dirty word."

Her comments, recorded by CNN affiliate WFAA, came during a conference on the impact of presidents' wives.
With her daughter-in-law, former first lady Laura Bush, sitting by her side, Mrs. Bush argued the level of political discourse has declined over the years.
"I think the rest of the world is looking at us these days and saying, 'What are you doing?'" she said.
But her apparent disgust with the race hasn't kept the feisty former first lady out of the 2012 presidential cycle.
On Sunday, robo calls went out to voters in Vermont and Ohio featuring her voice and endorsing Mitt Romney.
"We have known the Romneys for years and believe Mitt is the best man to lead the country for the next four years and Ann will make a great first lady," Mrs. Bush said on the call.
Her husband, former President George H.W. Bush, officially endorsed Romney in December.[/release]
It's a problem when the old old first lady has to point this out.
I was not expecting a zoom in on an elderly lady's wrinkly face.
She's still right.
Put that thing in Quote tags already.
You know you're shit when the wife of a Bush calls you out on it...
But wait:

My goodness Palpatine has been aging very well.

Worst campaign ever and then she suggests him? She's probably only saying it since she knows them but Mitt is most definitely not a good person to run this country. They're all awful.

But she's right. He's the least awful of the bunch.
Holy dirt.

Obama's still the best choice though.

Romney is a lot or progressive then he now claims to be. His governorship of Massachusets is seen as a success, and his healthcare bill was the model for Obama's plan.
I am extremely uncomfortable with the way he is trying to lie about everything he used to believe in in order to win. I also don't like his inability to not look like a rich snob.
Obama makes a ton of money from selling books and he never comes off as a rich snob.
it will be interesting if we get the first android president
Barbara Bush 2012

Better than iOS
Woah woah woah, hold the fuck on a second there
first off, there is nothing good about Mitt Romney or establishment republicans, at all
secondly, Ron Paul is a much better candidate than he (Mittens) will ever be on any day of the week
I would be a way happier voter if Obama didn't lie about half the shit he campaigned on, and most liberals acknowledge his broken promises. Obama inevitably will end up as my choice for reasons we can already foresee (the odds are against paul). But it won't be for the same reasons we all wanted him so badly last time around.

And there goes the thread
Attention Republicans, when a former first lady and a Bush says your campaigning is horrible, and one of the most dirtiest, sickest ones in history, and angry at the fact that you made compromise a "dirty" word, it means you definitely fucked up.
Am I surprised Barbara is supporting Romney, maybe. I mean, the two best of the Republicans are Ron Paul, and Romney. But both have their weak points, and we know what they will do. I am also surprised Barbara actually is tired of this, and thinks this is the worst campaign.
It is getting bad enough for the republicans that George Bush doesn't seem bad anymore

NPR;
[i]While on the campaign trail, Barack Obama made hundreds of promises. And throughout the president's first year in office, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Web site PolitiFact has tracked each one of those commitments.
Just before Obama took office, PolitiFact combed through campaign documents, speeches and debate transcripts to see what promises he had made. They found more than 500 individual promises and put each of them into a database to be monitored closely.
They found 91 promises have been fulfilled, 33 compromised on, 87 stalled and 14 broken. The remaining promises are designated as being "in the works."[/i][/QUOTE]
dumb source, find a real one, not some obama circlejerk blog
[quote]"I think the rest of the world is looking at us these days and saying, 'What are you doing?'" she said.[/quote]
More than you know.
America, what the hell are you doing? although ironic coming from me, an Irish person, as my government is fucking retarded.

Dear God, you're right... That's so pathetic, what has this country become?
[quote]"I think the rest of the world is looking at us these days and saying, 'What are you doing?'"[/quote]
HAhahaha why is this so funny to me, was she trying to be funny

"America... Wadd'rya doin'?"
Hahahahahaha

I never thought he was bad to begin with.

Politifact is a Pulitzer Prize award winning website. While it's not Al Jazerra, it's certainly not a pro-Obama 'blog'.

Woah there buddy. There's delusion and then there's insanity.
[QUOTE=Bahumhat;35029699]I never thought he was bad to begin with.[/QUOTE]
I saw him as the worst president we've had in a long while. Like, Nixon bad.
[QUOTE=ExplodingGuy;35016485]To be honest, Mitt Romney is a wizard with money. Just look at his tenure as governor of Massachusets.[/QUOTE]
And he'll be a wizard at increasing the gap between classes, judging from the observations on his tax plan.

I hate those "Miss me yet" bumper stickers. Of course they're from when Obama got elected. It's funny how you can apply it to both sides of the shit-sandwich. By that I mean Republicans are unknowingly being ironic.
Both parties suck. They pretend to want to do things for the american people, where in reality almost nobody in politics is actually in it for legitimate reasons. I used to want to be a politician until I realized I'd have to sell my soul. :/
Idk who I'm gonna write in, but it won't be Santorum, Romney, or Obama.
