Apple finally unveils completely redesigned iOS 7 - RIP skeuomorphism

So now they're copying the same things Google released at IO for google+ and photos?
that looks sexy
I can't decide whether this translucency is really fucking ugly or the future
Eww Bing
LOL BING INTEGRATION TO FUCK GOOGLE
Android is better anyways.
opinions, I'd take Windows Phone or iOS device over any Android device any day of the week
Some things look really nice but others are fuck ugly.
Looks like Commodore 64
Sir in my personal opinion your wrong. A commodore 64 looks better than this ripoff design.

Why?
This UI looks like WP8, the SBSettings jailbreak tweak and Android 4.2 shoved into a freezer.
[editline]10th June 2013[/editline]
Then shoved onto an iPhone.
It looks bad in my opinion
The only thing I'd want from this is the quick swipe settings, except I've already got a prettier version in my notification center anyway
[editline]10th June 2013[/editline]
Plus swipe from the bottom would feel silly
Oh snap you can use FaceTime audio instead of making a phone call
I had an iPhone for four years and made the switch to android, which I knew nothing about.
I can honestly say that in my opinion that android is light-years ahead.
[editline]10th June 2013[/editline]
Maybe this will change things?
Probably not.
Oh snap you can use FaceTime audio instead of making a phone call
So... SpeakTime?
Really liked the new homescreen. Will abandon my jailbreak for this, and other features.
nice to see apple still supporting mostly older generations of devices
Oh snap you can use FaceTime audio instead of making a phone call
I suppose that's useful if you pay per minute or you're calling international.
Or you could just get Skype?
looks like shit tbh
[editline]10th June 2013[/editline]
reading this thread: so when windows does simplified stuff it is bad, but when apple does it it's okay?
what?
I love how the camera cut to someone wearing a Skype t-shirt when Facetime Audio was mentioned.
Or you could just get Skype?
Skype is shit on Android and iOS ever since Microsoft bought them, apps are glitchy as hell in my experience
(then again it's questionable on desktop too)
Not gonna lie, it looks damn sexy. I can see the android similarities though.
I like the new Mac Pro but I can't help but think it looks a bit like a garbage can from the angle they keep showing it at. :v:
Also, http://www.apple.com/ios/ios7/
I didn't see the stream, but it looks pretty nice in the screenshots. Does it support iPhone 4 still?
Why?
honestly I should just google up an article from reviewers and what they dislike about Android that would explain it much better than I ever could but I am too lazy, so here goes
I find Android sloppy, now Google has improved this ever since they introduced Holo, but it still is present
the biggest gripe is there is unlike iphones where apple oversees the OS and hardware as one, and custom tailors the OS to exactly 3 or 4 different handsets, and unlike Windows Phone where Microsoft doesn't allow phones they find low quality to exist, Android is a big chaotic "do whatevs" thing. Google expects and relies on 3rd parties like Samsung to do the innovating and phone design, and those look like shit compared to a more authoritarian developed phone like iPhones and Windows Phones. Cheap plastics, poor battery life, and many other terrible hardware design decisions are riddled throughout Android handsets. Even the Google branded Nexus phones suffer from basic problems that shouldn't exist.
you know this is starting to turn incoherent, better stop now before this thread becomes a 12 page boxfort
I've definitely seen that multitasking UI somewhere before...

Yep. iPhone 4+, iPad 2+, and iPod Touch 5

HTC One is a beautiful phone tho. But I agree Windows Phones are so much nicer. iPhones are too small
