From what I heard, the developer lives in Vietnam. We're talking about a communist country, where a smart, highly-educated person will earn 600USD a month, and your average person will live in less than a hundred. In an environment like that, getting 50,000USD a day doesn't make you rich, it makes you a target. And it's not as simple as just moving out of Vietnam, you'd have to convince your family etc. to move with you.

If I were him, I'd probably just head to the nearest embassy and see if I could seek asylum or something. He'd probably be able to get an exclusionary Visa too as he's effectively a rich-as-fuck entrepreneur.

I dislike Flappy Bird quite a lot. I don't mind the game. It's a pointless little game, but that's what the app store is for. What bugs me most about the game is that nobody will shut the fuck up about it. At my school, entire class periods are playing the damn game and they [I]just won't shut the fuck up about it.[/I] My teacher had to make a rule that nobody is allowed to talk about Flappy Bird in class. Plus, it makes this little dinging noise, and it sounds [I]exactly[/I] like when you leave my fridge open too long, and so every time in class when I heard the dinging suddenly for a split second I would have a Pavlovian 'Oh shit the fridge is open' moment before I realized it's just the game. Best of luck to the creator, though. He's made a shit ton of money and I hope that he spends it reasonably or kindly, and nothing bad happens to him.
