What the FUCK
I knew companies in USA got tax breaks but holyy fucking shit I didnt know it was that bad.
Less than 27k dollars? Fucking scandal right
Some US companies pay a negative effective tax rate. They find ways to hide taxable income but still get billion dollar returns
$200,000 isn't anywhere near 1%. It's "wealthy" but not "rich." Loads of people make 6-figure salaries. You don't get into the one percent until you get to people that make multi-million dollar bonuses and have millions in capital gains. At that point your salary doesn't matter because it's not your biggest source of income. (Unless you have a multimillion dollar salary because you're the CEO of Goldman Sachs or something.)
My point is, $200,000 is not a huge salary in respect to the super-rich. It might be to the average man, but 200,000k is a bad day on the markets to some.
Salary really doesn't matter at a point.

$174k is his salary for being a Senator. Are you saying that Senators can't be a "man of the people"?
But looking at this tax return he got:
$156,441 for his job as a Senator. (lower than the reported salary)
$13 from interest
$4,900 from business income
$4,982 from pensions / annuities
$46,213 from social security benefits.
Yes he makes considerably more than most people but that's mostly just because he's a senator.
Do you really want a president who only has $13 worth of interest in the future of the country?

Basic shit.

That's what I mean. Salary is almost irrelevant to the 1%. A ton of them have $1 Salaries because it doesn't matter to them. You could almost argue that if you're making a 7-8 figure salary, that you haven't quite made it up to the 1% yet.
I wonder what new excuse Clinton will use to not release her transcripts.
My take on it was that Clinton has already published hers?
If politicians made no money they'd only be further incentivized to take bribes.
By that logic, doesn't that mean the wealthiest candidate is the one most likely to be reputable?

She hasn't released the transcripts to her paid speeches as of yet, which was what was originally asked for.

So essentially you're not allowed to want to help the vulnerable unless you live in a mud hut?
