Woah woah woah. He's only making 8 bucks an hour as a security guard? Who's the real terrorists here?
I only make 8.50/hr where I'm at so yeah.... Not that I can say anything about how other arenas treat their security. Not quite complaining as I love my boss and co workers. Just pointing out I'm not paid much either.
anonymous doing this - assuming all this is actually true - is a terrible idea. the authorities arrest these guys without announcing it beforehand for a reason. if these guys know that people are on to them, they'll ditch the plan that intelligence services know of and just go off the rails. if this is true (which im kinda skeptical of) then all they are doing by publishing this is endangering more people.
Anonymous's biggest strength - their apparent decentralization - is also their biggest weakness. Their lack of a figurehead or spokesman means that anyone can release information or carry out an operation as Anonymous. For that reason, I never consider "Anonymous" a reliable source.
Idk if Anon can really do much against ISIS. What are they gonna do, keep hacking Twitter accounts? Have they really made a dent in ISIS at all?
I'm not so sure this is credible...
Are we really taking anon as a reputable source? Also, why give out the targets? Sure it's a good ploy to move most of the attention there and attack somewhere else but if that was your target you've blown that cover.
Basically it goes like this: You're the terrorists. You build up this support for an attack, things like supplies, weapons, transportation... you know, the stuff you need to make it happen. Your plans hinge on it being a sudden and precise attack that will catch the authorities, who are unaware, completely off guard so you can accomplish as much as you can. Then suddenly the authorities know all about your plans, suddenly your mission is now ten times more difficult if not entirely impossible which means at least some of those resources you were going to use are now useless. Ideally for you (you're still the bad guy in this scenario) everything you have should be mobile and ready to pack up at a moment's notice but the real world is not the ideal world. That's why when they cracked down after the Paris attacks they found all this hardware that could have done a lot of damage, so they lost all of that stuff they had collected and it hurt them. There's also this side to it, which is an equally valid point:
anonymous doing this - assuming all this is actually true - is a terrible idea. the authorities arrest these guys without announcing it beforehand for a reason. if these guys know that people are on to them, they'll ditch the plan that intelligence services know of and just go off the rails. if this is true (which im kinda skeptical of) then all they are doing by publishing this is endangering more people.
Really there's consequences for both, I suppose either approach would be situational. If the authorities couldn't conclusively find out who was going to do it then announcing they know people are being targeted would be a good thing to do. I mean, it's better to have the bad guys pack up their shit and spend time rethinking a plan (or changing plans) than missing an opportunity to get them. Really though the goal is to catch them so they don't do it again. "Anonymous" should have really passed this to the feds if they really did find some credible information; that's how it's done and it's done that way for a reason.
Related to the topic, I was sitting in a history class a few days ago (I'm in highschool) and we were on the topic of terrorism then vs terrorism now. Of course, the facebook/twitter savvy girl who doesn't research anything says "I READ ON FACEBOOK THAT ANOMYNOS (she pronounced it a-nom-e-nus) HACKED ISIS AND IS GONNA KILL THEM AND STOP THEM FROM TERRORISTS ATTACKS" and she spent like 6-7 minutes while the teacher kind of laughed under his breath, it was clear he wanted to be like "Everything you're saying is wrong please stop" thats my anomynos story for today I wouldn't take any of this as a reason to be all scared for an attack. If this is legit, it probably isn't going to happen anymore
thats my anomynos story for today
they are brave, brave men they only wear gary fox masks because he was a brave hero of 911 i read it on the internet he saved briten from attacks too
paris is crawling with cops and soldiers i doubt they're crazy enough to plan another bunch of attacks ?
The city was full of troops and police after the first attack. Didn't stop them from trying another time.
yeah right. never once seen anyone who actually dresses like this or acts like anonymous is some super sekrit badass group of cyber warriors actually do anything technical, or anything that could be considered an ~op~ like this pretentious fuck is claiming to be working on this is just some edgy kid playing dress up, the real work is done by independent people or groups with no singular name, coordination, or political alignment; faceless and anonymous people, which is where the name comes from. anonymous is a concept, not a faction, and i've never once seen someone who believes the latter and actually knows what they're talking about
The thing with terrorist plots is it's 90% people just talking shit, you have to figure out which are the 10% that aren't.
Source has changed to say that the reports are not credible
paris is crawling with cops and soldiers i doubt they're crazy enough to plan another bunch of attacks ?
They don't need to be crazy, they can be retarded. Well, they are retarded.
apparently ISIS doesn't like metal bands
I'm going to go with "because Wrong Side of Heaven"
I swear if John Cena choke slams some ISIS jihadists, I will lose it
I swear if John Cena choke slams some ISIS jihadists, I will lose it
Why would he chokeslam when he has his Attitude Adjustment. He ain't Undertaker.
Eagles of Death Metal, Five Finger Death Punch and WWE Survivor Series? Maybe ISIS don't like teenage boys.
That's a bit problematic considering that is the group ISIS panders too the hardest with their Islamic power fantasy jihad bullshit. If it wasn't clear already, ISIS is built on the foundation of psychopathic tendencies of young, directionless males.
Anonymous also said the Islamic State group is planning an assault at the WWE Survivor Series event scheduled to take place in the Philips Arena in Atlanta Sunday at 7.30 p.m., as well as attacks at multiple events in Paris.
Dont worry. Stone Cold will save the day.
Ohh shit why indonesia?
Source has changed to say that the reports are not credible
Correction: The Atlanta Wrestling attack's source isn't credible. It puts doubts onto the others, but doesn't necessarily mean they're all uncredible.
Well, we'll see today won't we
Well, should be about 15 more minutes, right? I mean, it's about 7:15 here now.
calling it already; nothing's going to happen
Literally just read this, and it's sunday. Gotta say that's some stealth fucking attacks I mean nobody in the entire world's seen them yet, ISIS really pulled off some splinter cell stuff.
They never did set a time zone for that 19:45 time promise. Here it's only 14:00. (too lazy to say pm)
damn it i just spent my entire savings on a basement upgrade that doubles as a bomb shelter and nothings happening ffs
It makes me slightly nervous to live at a university in a large city but I'm just being irrational tbh
The FFDP concert has been postponed.
"As some of you may be aware, there were many rumors today that the Milan show on Sunday, November 22nd will be targeted in a next wave of terror attacks like we saw in Paris last week. We did our best in a very short amount of time to work with the local promoter and authorities to ensure that security would be adequate. "Unfortunately, we did not receive confirmation in time to satisfy our requirements and to ensure that our fans would be safe at the event. Therefore, we were forced to postpone the show to a later date. Please stay tuned for more info."

The FFDP concert has been postponed.
That's super cool of them, if you ask me. It sucks the show is delayed, but at least they're working on getting the proper security measures in place, instead of going forward without proper safeguards.
Even with false or not correct information they are spreading terror and fear around the world.
Belgium police just closed loads of streets and occupied an hotel called Radisson Blu, looks like they found some info
