Schoolgirl 'bullied over parents' divorce' dies on rail track

Ruined my night. I hope this haunts those bullies for a while.
I can guarantee that the bullies alone weren't the cause for it.
Uhh, no shit, there was the divorce. Also, 15 is high school.
Holy fuck, imagine how the parents must feel.
They have to live with themselves knowing that, in a way, they caused their childs death.
So strange that schools bully over this kinda thing. My school it was actually kinda uncommon to find a family that was still together. Then again, I didn't go to $10k schools.
Really? Wouldn't it be enough for them to just understand how their bullying indirectly killed someone? I'm sure if they knew the girl was going to hop in front of a train they wouldn't have made fun of her. People bully eachother all the time but that doesn't make them monsters, they just don't realize the effect it has on people until it's too late.
It's Nathax
He's making fun of people's typical reaction to things like this, and doing it well
One word:
Snobs.
Nobody likes them

Where did that come from?
Wow, this just boiled my fucking blood as I read the article!
I'm disgusted!
Fuck, that's the fifth time I've lost faith in humanity today.
Wait...
Still, have a heart.
Who the hell makes fun of someone who has divorced parents?
Thats not cool.
Her name is Natasha

You know what's really aggravating about this? Schools are gonna go batshit with this whole "bully crackdown" thing again, and, instead of actually doing something about it, they're just gonna talk and talk and nothing will get done. Or, even worse, they'll be punishing the kids that don't do anything wrong.
...Like...What the fuck? This doesn't even relate to an actual phrase. Who the fuck says "what a train of a situation"? At least say "the divorce disrupted her train of thought" or something. Jesus fuck do you understand the concept of a pun?
Now that is a pun.
[editline]15th February 2011[/editline]
Happens alllll the time...
Also who teases someone because their parents got divorced? Honestly? I;m not even confused as to how insensitive it is but like, how is that even remotely...what? Like I could see people bullying someone because they were gay or because they were emo or something but like, I don't understand...
I am best punner.
I live where this happened, I didn't know her but some of my friends did and this is just so tragic.

That's disgusting.

disgusting
Why didn't ya stop em? :sigh: I probably wouldn't have either.. but still, if it gets that out of hand..
That's one nice camera there.
She was pretty cute too :frown:
While the people who prayed on this are scum, it takes a really weak person to up and kill themselves due to bullying.
I'd say that it was more the divorce that probably did it.
What kind of sick bastard makes fun of a girl because her parents got a divorce?
damn id have liked to rail her
She must have been extremely sensitive, no one in their right mind would kill themselves because they were being bullied about their parents getting a divorce.

"We have a no tolerance policy for bullying.
Oh by the way, we won't do anything about it and if you fight back you're suspended. Thanks for your cooperation!"
Every time I read an article about bullying, especially to the point where the victim takes their own life, I get confused. I mean, I went through my entire school without really ever being teased, and trust me, I have plenty of reasons to get singled out. I always thought the stereotypical movie/TV bully was just that, a thing that existed on TV.
I guess what I'm saying is that this type of cruelty seems really distant to me, especially in schools. I mean, if anyone I knew in School ever started to rip on someone for their parents getting divorced, I think they'd get the shit beat out of them.

Thanks for letting us know that you don't relate to the topic at hand, it really added a lot to the thread.
Just kidding, but you've never noticed bullying before? How is that possible?
I came in to ITN smiling and then read this thread title. :smith:
What kind of a cunt bullies someone over a parent's divorce
"Hahaha a loved one is no longer a focal point of your life"
I feel bad for laughing at the second half of this post.
I don't understand two things:
Why would you make fun of someone for something out of their control? "hurr your parents are divorced ur fag"
And why would you kill yourself over getting picked on a little? I don't mean to sound like a douche here, I really am saddened by this article, but it's a part of life. We've all been picked on.

Well, having your parents divorce and being bullied can kinda mess you up.
Also, it depends on the extent of the bullying.
"We have a no tolerance policy for bullying.
Oh by the way, we won't do anything about it and if you fight back you're suspended. Thanks for your cooperation!"
That's pretty much it, yeah.

Just kidding, but you've never noticed bullying before? How is that possible?
I guess I've seen bullying, but I can't say that I've ever seen someone bullied over something as terrible and out of their control such as having their parents get divorced. I mean, I got picked on occasionally for my weight and speech, but that's part of normal life. I suppose the bullying/teasing I've witnessed never really seemed malicious, but I suppose that's the problem with bullying.
What someone might consider a joke or teasing can seem much worse to someone depending on their feelings at the time. Then again, I still can't see anyone teasing someone over their parents getting divorced, I mean I just fail to see how anyone could find humor in that situation.
I want to hit bullies
I want to hit bullies
I did as well, at first. But I think letting them live with the knowledge that they were the core reason that this girl killed herself in a fit of depression, leaving her family, and friends in such emotional pain, is punishment enough.
I wish they had a program like No Place for Hate there. It's diversity week at our school, and we've had people who had loved ones commit suicide talk, and we always get ~15 people crying over it. I really wish this kind of thing didn't happen, humans shouldn't be such asshats for no reason. :ohdear:
Fucking bullies
This completely ruined my day, I'm sick of hearing of this bullshit. Bullying people to the point of suicide or causing the victim to have psychological damage should be an offense
