Also I see one thing that gets forgotten a bit too often: The French, Spanish and Dutch helped quite a lot in the war of independence.

I find it hard to believe that there aren't classes which cover US history though. We learned a lot about Europe in History of the Americas, that's how much the Americas tie into Europe.

French aid was actually extremely important to our success in the revolutionary war. I wrote a paper on it in 11th grade.
