Just to clear things up for people that have Acute Article-Reading Deficiency: Russia is not preparing for NK to launch an actual nuke at them (at least officially), they set up these systems because they're pissed off at all the rocket debris that gets strewn over parts of Russia when NK does test launches.
Scare tactic propaganda from the US. I'm a US citizen and know that is bullshit, we've got some bad ass technology but we're not that bad ass and won't be for a good 10-30 years.
Just because it uses laser means its impossible! It really worked, bro. It doesn't matter anyways because they canceled it. Horrible decision in my opinion. It would have been done in October.
This just in: Russia develops its own Nanosuit

I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S. had those laser planes 20 years ago. :quagmire:
...we do have laser planes. We're putting the finishing touches on them now. They'll be field-operational in 2 years.

I don't know what they got going as far as smaller versions. I think their going to put a small one on some fighter aircraft as countermeasures, and attack weapons later on.
Those fucking Commies. This what we've been waiting for, this is it boys, this is war.
well, north korea has certainly caused quite a commotion. not every country alerts russia's defenses. then again, not every country is that close to north korea. this is sewious.
Those fucking Commies. This what we've been waiting for, this is it boys, this is war.
North Korea are so stupid.
Good job Russia. Kill them commies.
Pretty ironic how Russia is kicking Commie Arse
wasn't it russia that blew the hell out of georgia with nothing but migs? I bet if russia did it right, NK wouldn't last a second against russia
Pretty ironic how Russia is kicking Commie Arse
We converted them to the forces of good when we won the cold battle thing.
We converted them to the forces of good when we won the cold battle thing.
we took them over to the light side of the force
Are you implying the North Koreans can hit Washington DC, despite not even being able to hit Hawaii?
Sneak a missile launcher in to another country, load it on to a ship and sail nearby.
Also are you forgetting about this? 5 flying prototypes, over 10 more built, all destroyed, not even one was left as a museum piece.
None put in a secret base somewhere?
That's not how thing work. We don't use prototype weaponry in combat.
If you don't have any other options why not use it?

Their missile launchers look like a bunch of oil drums welded together
What part of canceled due to budget cuts do you not understand?
A lot, because even if it had the money to make it, it wouldn't be perfected for a loooong time. Oh, and you kinda come off as a prick. Thought I'd let ya know. [editline]08:40PM[/editline]
Just because it uses laser means its impossible! It really worked, bro. It doesn't matter anyways because they canceled it. Horrible decision in my opinion. It would have been done in October.
I never said it was impossible, but it's fairly impractical. Besides, I'd rather be funding rail gun based technology and trying to perfect it, cold fusion technology, smart armor, and missiles that actually destroy ICBM's or other launched threats then some shit laser. It's too far ahead for it's time in my honest opinion.
They're just deploying AA to deter any false moves, just like the US and Japan deployed Aegis cruisers when they pointed the missiles that way. I am glad Russia is taking a side though. Good for them
Sneak a missile launcher in to another country, load it on to a ship and sail nearby. None put in a secret base somewhere? If you don't have any other options why not use it?
Dude, even if they managed to sneak a missile into Europe or Africa, they still couldn't reach D.C., they would have to be in the Caribbean(in before retarded Pirates of the Caribbean Johnny Depp pics)

And they already have smaller ones in research facilities. It was practially done, ready for service by October. [editline]12:35AM[/editline]
None put in a secret base somewhere?
It was to far ahead of its time, and uncontrollable. A very famous aircraft designer died because of it. The B2 would be extremely hard to fly if it didn't have computers compensating for every little aerodynamical error.
Those fucking Commies. This what we've been waiting for, this is it boys, this is war.
The US has been waiting for Russia to stick 32 SAM batteries along the NK border as some sort of act of war? Durrrrrr what?
The US has been waiting for Russia to stick 32 SAM batteries along the NK border as some sort of act of war? Durrrrrr what?
99 Red Balloons song lyrics. "This is what we've waited for This is it, boys, this is war The President is on the line As ninety-nine red balloons go by"
As everyone else is saying, if North Korea actually pulls anything, they'd be wiped off the map so fast it'd be like they never existed. Thank god Russia isn't Soviet anymore though, so they'll have no qualms about blowing them up if necessary.
