Oh, alright. Sorry I misread.
so moses didn't exist apparently
you know, the guy who freed a bunch of slaves because god said so (Jesus=God According to some christian views) and then god was like "lol fuck it all" and murdered egyptians due to it while raining frogs.
Saying such things in Europe is political suicide.
What the FUCK how is he in any position of government!
why would you mention being in the confederate army as a point of pride
at the very best they were manipulated into joining the army for the interests of rich slave/land owners

... sounds like a pretty totalitarian and extremist solution.

You'd get a dude hanged just because he insulted your region's intelligence?
Saying such things in Europe is political suicide.
Yeah but Europe is quite a bit more sane than the USA.
Saying such things in Europe is political suicide.
yeah, there's certainly been a huge backlash against all the xenophobic shit your politicians have been engaging in
As an Arkansan, I can now say that after this thread and this one: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1216956
I have lost all faith in politics in regards to my state.
Also, as said in that thread, neither myself nor the people I know reflect the beliefs this asshat is spewing out.
that dude is awesome why doesnt he run for president, he knows what the fuck is up

It bothers me how few people in America realize that our country isn't that far removed socially from Puritanism and McCarthyism. What terrifies me is how many people seem to want to go back.
American needs some kind of massive campaign to get these unbearable retards out of office all over the country. Even Republicans would join that if they want to get their party back from these extremist idiots.

You'd need to be some kind of manipulative chessmaster to trick these idiots into letting you fix the system, otherwise they'd just veto it at every turn and do everything they could to be as annoying as possible.
Man, election periods bring out the "best" in people.
That's the stupidest remark I've ever read, coming from a politician...
It seems all these guys have to do is speak certain words for them to be popular among some of the more... "special" American masses
Things like "JESUS", "9/11", "AWMERICUH" seem to have gained a win-button meaning among them
I'm not even trying to stereotype here, what the hell is going on with the American political system, it's like I'm watching a bad satirical comedy of politics itself

There are 3 main types of voters in this country:
- Republicans or Democrats, who adamantly cling to their party platform. (common)
- Moderates, who listen to both sides and decide what's best to them (somewhat rare)
- Uneducated voters, arguably the biggest idiots on the planet. (common, especially in 'swing states')
Uneducated voters are the ones that everyone tries to woo during election season, because there are lots of them who know nothing about politics and are an easy source of votes if you use the right buzzwords and sound pretty.
Either this man is really, really inbred and dumb or he's saying absurd shit to get attention.
Either way he shouldn't really be running for any sort of position in office.
My friend ran into the 3rd type the other day. He hated Mitt Romney, but for all the wrong reasons. He complained that he didn't want Mitt to get elected because "Mitt Romey wants to take away guns, and what if you get robbed at a store and there's no guns, you can't fight back" (not to mention he doesn't even have a gun, so his 'fight back' point is moot anyway).

Unless it's Serbia.

Or Hungary.
ugh just get out dude. You make southerners, christians, and republicans look bad.

Moses didn't free slaves because slavery was wrong, Moses freed slaves because they were Hebrew, and Yahweh's chosen people.
After they got out they went on to make a bunch of rules on how slavery should work.
Does the guy actually know about the institute of church freeing? A fairly common happening in ancient rome once christianity got officially recognised. Which allowed the church to free slaves that were in it.

I think more like "lost all faith in politicans".
Anyway: How can you get into politics with such views? Christ on a pogostick.
‘If Slavery Were So God-Awful, Why Didn’t Jesus Or Paul Condemn It?’
Implying a fantasy novel is the epitome and height of human ethics and that it was reached 2000 years ago. Before Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Protestantism, modern medicine happened and pretending that the post-war progress on the field in Europe never happened. GG dumbs hit American...

Duh... 'merica.
Why the fuck do we have these people in Congress? What is wrong with America? And before you accuse me for being too biased against Republicans, if a Democrat said this, I would have wondered how the fuck is that dumbass in office after that comment.
Seriously, say that in Europe, you get fired, shunned, and lose your political career before you leave office.

We're not all like this, I swear.
