yay republicans
My dad had to move to Arkansas for work. And he wonders why I don't want to move down there with him.
I'm pretty sure Jesus did condemn slavery.
Hold on, I'm gonna read through my Bible again.
Found it, Corinthians 5 condemns Slave ownership and the treatment of slaves.
And don't forget the one about how it's alright for parents to beat their children :v:

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him ... Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.... And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. -- Genesis 22:1-2,10
Woops that's even worse.
Can we maybe, I don't know, restart our government or something?
I think we need to reformat.

Well not sure about Jesus, but there are some historical mentions about Saul/Paul that AREN'T in the Bible. Historically speaking, they may have existed.
Anyways, this sort of headlines is so reminiscent of ones found on The Onion. It's quite concerning!

not as their depicted. in scripture they're not real people, they're characters with made up stories. none of it happened so any likeness to an actual person in that time period is p irrelevant.
Why the fuck do we have these people in Congress? What is wrong with America? And before you accuse me for being too biased against Republicans, if a Democrat said this, I would have wondered how the fuck is that dumbass in office after that comment.
Seriously, say that in Europe, you get fired, shunned, and lose your political career before you leave office.
This person isn't in Congress.

No. Other gullible religious dumbshits are though...
I think he forgot the part where God's people were slaves in Egypt and it was a bad thing. I mean, the Exodus is one of the most remembered parts of the Bible, and this dude doesn't even remember it?
Also for anybody who wants to know, the bible represents slavery as something that people in debt would go into if they couldn't pay it off, so instead they would work manually for some time to work off their debt. They weren't taken from their homes, and they weren't kept there forever.

Yeeeeeeep. He's batshit crazy.
Also, with that beard, he'd fight right in with the 1800's.
