• David Cameron: UK is a Christian country and should be proud; Jews and Muslims are better off in a C

UK is well known for being the least religious country in the whole world. ffs.
Wow, and here I thought that Tory scumbag couldn't get any worse. Well done David, well done indeed. *malicious clapping*
Why would he think that France is "worse off for Jews and Muslims" because it's secular, when there are parts of the US which are devoutly Christian and are twenty times worse off for Jews and Muslims? He's been to America hasn't he?
And the French aren't unfriendly to Jews and Muslims because they're secular. They're unfriendly because they're French.
As dumb as this is, the UK is legally a Christian country with laws based upon them beliefs (Sunday opening hours laws come to mind). Personally I wish the UK was more secular but I cannot see it happening any time soon.
Funny how everyone hated Labour during the voting, but as soon as Cameron became PM they didn't seem so bad after all.
Politics in the UK is a see-saw made out of shit with shit of equal mass on both sides.
it's kind of bizarre how the US was founded on secular ideals and now there are all these insane christian nutters dangerously close to government, yet the initially christianity-based UK now has more nonreligious than religious people
Politics in the UK is a see-saw made out of shit with shit of equal mass on both sides.
Though it's like there's different kinds of shit of equal mass on each side, so for instance watery shit would have to be like a litre if the solid shit were a few grams in weight. It's all proportionate, y'see.
fucking moron I doubt he even knows what "christian morality" is. Moral collapse? When the fuck did that happen? Oh wait, he means people are doing things that he thinks are "bad" so they should be stopped Fuck legislating personal morality
All of them are still made out of the same faecal matter though.
Yeah, but they're different kinds of faecal matter. Some are predictably normal, others are weird and have blood on their tail ends and look like bananas.
He's not being a nutjob he's just saying it to try and get a certain demographic under his belt.
Which is weird because usually you want the majority on your side and according to the graph on the OP, religious people aren't the majority.
Which is weird because usually you want the majority on your side and according to the graph on the OP, religious people aren't the majority.
Whoever is advising him is doing a piss poor job then.
didn't someone say that a majority of the UK is non-christian anyway? is he fucking retarded?
Seriously all he does is talk about a broken society and how everything is all wrong, yet he does nothing about it?!
Don't worry. The Big Society will fix everything! [editline]16th December 2011[/editline]
UK is well known for being the least religious country in the whole world. ffs.
Nope, that would be Sweden I think
Don't worry. The Big Society will fix everything!
Just look at the long list of social policies that the Big Society implements into legislation to help the country :
The only person more incompetent than that blithering Tory wanker is Clegg.
Cameron is so disgustingly out of touch it's hard to comprehend note this is the same guy who told us to "hug a hoodie" some years ago
The thing is with the graph in the OP is that with Christianity many people just say they are because their family are even if they haven't really looked into it themselves and see it as something "good" to reveal about their character.
"Why? Because the tolerance that Christianity demands of our society provides greater space for other religious faiths too.
Christianity? Tolerance? I... I have no words I mean no amount of "haha oh wow" will do this phrase justice
Politicians openingly whoring themselves out to religious fundamentalists is remarkably disgusting. I thought the UK was better than the likes of Rick Perry.
Great, so UK and Canada have raving, anti-secular crusaders as leaders. Now we need a good Republican and we've got the real Axis of Evil right up in this bitch.
When the hell did Harper try shit like this? I haven't heard Harper say anything against Canada's secularity, all I've heard is people think he will because he's a young-earth creationist, and I severely doubt he'll act on something religious. I'd be more worried about the GOP in the US, at least one of them has already expressed the same bullshit as this.
hmm i wonder why muslims and hindu's in england feel disenfranchised...
Putting those sentences in bold really skews the article OP. It's more about how a general religion in a country leads to less ignorance about other religions than if it was a secular country. ie. Respect other views through your own. I'm an athiest, but that doesn't mean Christian values aren't important. Not the Bible word for word, but the commandments are a pretty good starting point. I haven't killed anyone. Yet.
Mmmmmm I can smell the bitterness.

Yet.
Most of the commandments are redundant. The only ones that are really relevant are "don't kill, don't steal, don't covet"
But the 10 commandments are Old Testament, so technically we should either disregard them like the rest of the Old Testament, or we should take all of the Old Testament to heart. Thus, Christian Values:
There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. 21 So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.

There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.
now this is a part of the bible i like! you go girl

And got to that part.
