my point is that you're asserting the gay rights movement is about being able to marry to show love for each other or some bullshit, which is insulting. the movement to make gay marriage legal is about equal rights. heterosexuals get benefits from marriage that homosexuals are denied. it has nothing to do with love

As a gay person, I find what you are saying to be ignorant and offensive. Marriage is many things, with no one reason to marry. It's an expression of love. It's a promise of security which is important for raising a family. It's something you can look at, something that proves one's commitment to each other at life partners. There are many reasons for one to want marriage, and for you to trivialize it into one silly strawman argument is simply wrong.
