any homosexual who fights for the right to arbitrarily display their love through marriage is a moron. that's not what the gay rights movement is about
Right, I forgot you were the de facto authority on the gay rights movement. Good thing I only want to marry my fiancee because of his cooking. He can only cook for me. No one else. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] Just me.
Sanius, they can't fight for more than one reason or is it if that is one of their reasons they're automatically a retard that shouldn't be allowed to fight for his/her rights? I'm asking because you're being a massive dickhead. I'm just trying to figure out if you're truly saying what you are saying.
my point is that you're asserting the gay rights movement is about being able to marry to show love for each other or some bullshit, which is insulting. the movement to make gay marriage legal is about equal rights. heterosexuals get benefits from marriage that homosexuals are denied. it has nothing to do with love
which is insulting.
:frog:

Because Sanius just completely keeps missing the "ONE OF THE MAIN REASON" part of my god damn post. This is why you don't burn books by the way :v:

This is why you don't burn books by the way :v:
love has absolutely nothing to do with the gay rights movement. how is this so hard to grasp? there's no law that states homosexuals can't love each other nor is there a law that states you need to be married to love somebody
ITT: Sanius bitter about gays wanting to express their love because he'll never find any.
ITT: Sanius bitter about gays wanting to express their love because he'll never find any.
yes I'm a homosexual which clearly means I want all homosexuals to suffer you're not comprehending my admittedly poorly written posts
love has absolutely nothing to do with the gay rights movement. how is this so hard to grasp? there's no law that states homosexuals can't love each other nor is there a law that states you need to be married to love somebody
I give up, I never stated this was about state laws. For fuck's sake, read my damn posts you blabbering nincompoop.
yes I'm a homosexual which clearly means I want all homosexuals to suffer you're not comprehending my admittedly poorly written posts
Write them out better and maybe people will start understanding you.
I give up, I never stated this was about state laws. For fuck's sake, read my damn posts you blabbering nincompoop.
you stated that homosexuals want to marry mainly because they want to express their love which to me makes no sense because homosexuals don't need to be married to love each other that's what I'm arguing
you stated that homosexuals want to marry mainly because they want to express their love which to me makes no sense because homosexuals don't need to be married to love each other that's what I'm arguing
ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS, yes there are romantics out there, its called a human fucking being. I also said that the other main reason was to attain the legal rights given to heterosexual couples. I PUT THOSE IN MY POSTS!
you stated that homosexuals want to marry mainly because they want to express their love which to me makes no sense because homosexuals don't need to be married to love each other that's what I'm arguing
It took you an entire first page to articulate that. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] And you're still missing Vengful's point, it seems.
I know what his point is and I think it's stupid that's what I was trying to express
I know what his point is and I think it's stupid that's what I was trying to express
What is the point Vengful is making, then?
that homosexuals want to be able to marry to express their love
that homosexuals want to be able to marry to express their love
You're missing my point completely!
that homosexuals want to be able to marry to express their love
The initial edit,
......Isn't that one of the main reasons behind letting gays marry!?
Which lead to the clarification
Please re-read what I said, because you missed the part where I said "one of the main reasons".
And the rebuttal
So there can't be more than one main reason behind a movement?
And the re-clarification
Sanius, they can't fight for more than one reason or is it if that is one of their reasons they're automatically a retard that shouldn't be allowed to fight for his/her rights?
And another re-clarification
Can we have bad reading back? Because Sanius just completely keeps missing the "ONE OF THE MAIN REASON" part of my god damn post. This is why you don't burn books by the way :v:
Moving on.
so homosexuals don't want to marry to be able to express their love? this argument makes no sense at all let's change the subject
that homosexuals want to be able to marry to express their love
As a gay person, I find what you are saying to be ignorant and offensive. Marriage is many things, with no one reason to marry. It's an expression of love. It's a promise of security which is important for raising a family. It's something you can look at, something that proves one's commitment to each other at life partners. There are many reasons for one to want marriage, and for you to trivialize it into one silly strawman argument is simply wrong. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline]
so homosexuals don't want to marry to be able to express their love? this argument makes no sense at all let's change the subject
or not
marriage is a legal agreement. everything else is idealistic bullshit and a relic of christianity. why homosexuals want any part in the latter is beyond me
so homosexuals don't want to marry to be able to express their love? this argument makes no sense at all
I give up. I thought that, being an English major with the goal of teaching, I'd have a good enough grasp of the language I study so compulsively to convey a simple message to you. I have clearly failed myself, the language, and my colleagues. I'll be withdrawing from my studies tomorrow.
marriage is a legal agreement. everything else is idealistic bullshit and a relic of christianity. why homosexuals want any part in the latter is beyond me
So having a commitment to one another as life partners is "idealistic bullshit" sure thing hun.
you don't need to be married to be committed to somebody
You know fuck it, my point never gets to you so fuck it.
you don't need to be married to be committed to somebody
sure, but a marriage proves that commitment. nothing is stopping you from being life partners without marriage, but for some people it's an important milestone that you can't just trivialize.
Sanius do you still believe that homosexuality is a choice
I never stated that homosexuality is explicitly a choice
[Simple "yes or no" question]

[Clever avoidance tactic]
I think we're done here.
I think we're done here.
I don't have a yes or no answer to the question of whether homosexuality is a choice or not but thanks for the clever retort
I don't have a yes or no answer to the question of whether homosexuality is a choice or not but thanks for the clever retort
lemme decide for you and say that it's not.
