Life sentence is only 40 years and it doenst sit well with tax payers that they are paying to keep criminals alive
Yeah, except with the amount of appeals people get on death row get it ends up costing more in the end than an overall life sentence.
I for one support the return of classic execution techniques, such as the guillotine and being hung by the neck until death. [sp]jk i dont condone death penalities[/sp]
Personally I like burning at the stake.
Life sentence is only 40 years and it doenst sit well with tax payers that they are paying to keep criminals alive
Isn't killing them a more expensive process than just keeping them alive in a jail?
Oh and don't forget there is also overcrowding in jails, unless I'm wrong.
Oh and don't forget there is also overcrowding in jails, unless I'm wrong.
Don't worry, private business will quickly build plenty of new jails.
Don't worry, private business will quickly build plenty of new jails.
Yeh I guess business is good
Isn't killing them a more expensive process than just keeping them alive in a jail?
Only in court costs though, which can be in the millions. The actual process of killing them is pretty cheap.
as if the other lethal drugs weren't painful enough
Life sentence is only 40 years and it doenst sit well with tax payers that they are paying to keep criminals alive
I forgot that as soon as someone commits a crime they forfeit their humanity
Then again, France was still using the guillotine. Sounds a lot more brutal than lethal injection or even getting shot. (Not that I'm defending this shit, just pointing things out)
The guillotine was invented by a medical doctor (or he closest thing tto it at the time) because firing squads and beheadings have a fair chance of not killing a person instantly. The sharp, heavy, blade will kill quickly and without physical suffering unless you are Clark Kent. And on the subject of liquid freedom injections: since ~70% of the freedom we breath is nitrogen gas, I suggest liquid nitrogen. Its also cheap!
Propofol is not "experimental". It is widely used in the healthcare system as a heavy anesthesia in patients that need to be kept sedated for long periods of time. You just fall asleep and they just keep giving you more (or something more toxic) until you die. Missouri already uses it to execute.
You guys act as if the tax payers know the costs of the prison system...
You guys act as if the tax payers know the costs of the prison system...
They should since they're always complaining about it
as if the other lethal drugs weren't painful enough
i assure you that hydromorphone isnt painful at all [editline]4th October 2013[/editline] in fact none of those drugs are painful. 2 out of the 3 are used recreationally, hydromorphone more so than midalozam
They should since they're always complaining about it
People also vote representatives into office with partial information.
i assure you that hydromorphone isnt painful at all
There was a lot of controversy a while back as to whether or not people who were being executed could feel pain. A lot of people believed that they could feel their hearts stopping while they were paralyzed. Also, one of the chemicals that was previously used in the lethal injection process, pancuronium bromide is apparently used in hospitals during certain procedures. Someone who was given it and they accidentally woke up and described it as having "ignited jet fuel going through your body".
They should kill people with the most wicked trip through time and space drugs can possibly provide.
Execution by weed OD
Rick Perry said that Texas has never killed an innocent person. I believe him completely.
He brought back the death penalty for mentally handicapped folk, and gladly volunteered himself to be the first to go. At least, I wish. :<
He brought back the death penalty for mentally handicapped folk, and gladly volunteered himself to be the first to go. At least, I wish. :<
I'll be so glad when he's out of office, Texas is just not right with him..
At least, I wish. :<
I'm not sure if he's evil or stupid.
Gov. Perry refused to grant a 30-day stay to review the new evidence. I've never understood why no country has used oxygen deprivation as an execution method. Not that i am for the death penalty in any way and i am extremely against it, but why not execute someone in a way that causes euphoria and then slips them into a coma then they die peacefully. Pilots who have blacked out have said that it's not uncomfortable (over then the g forces obviously) and it's a win win situation, the sentenced die, no expensive and potentially painful drugs are used, (we are still unsure on whether the lethal injection is painless in 100% cases) and you have a machine that can be reset very quickly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTNX6mr753w The whole documentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj8Lj2CXu9k I still think the death penalty is brutal and am at a loss as to why america still practises it.
They're really using Dilaudid? That's an incredibly strong painkiller.
The guillotine was invented by a medical doctor (or he closest thing tto it at the time) because firing squads and beheadings have a fair chance of not killing a person instantly. Decapitation by guillotine is widely known for how it didn't kill instantly. All it did was severe the head from the spine extremely quickly.
I for one support the return of classic execution techniques, such as the guillotine and being hung by the neck until death. [sp]jk i dont condone death penalities[/sp]
To be fair, they were pretty quick deaths. Properly done, a proper execution hanging would simply break your neck rather than choke you to death.
Inmates on deathrow sueing? Now that's just silly.
Yo Texas: how about ricin?
Why on Earth is Texas so desperate to kill people?
