I wish more people would look at Futurama as an example of American humor than Family Guy.
I like to think this pic sums up how the Simpsons has changed for the worst over the years. That soulless stare.
Look at her face. It just turns over real creepy like with a big smile not even caring her daughter could have gotten hurt.
I wish more people would look at Futurama as an example of American humor than Family Guy.
futurama is more an example of jewish-american humour while family guy is typical round-house irish-american humour. most of futurama's jokes are straight rips off of old jewish comedians IE woody allen and mel brooks.
I watch Family Guy for the irony.

Simpsons, Futurama, American Dad, King of the Hill family guy is a joke
Futurama channel please.
I thought Matt said he was going to stop shortly after the simpsons movie.
Think what you like about the show's quality, its successful as hell. A quick Wikipedia search says that the show has grossed over $527 million.
Only 27 million more than The Hobbit costs.
as other people have said, simpsons, king of the hill, futurama, american dad. family guy has its moments but it's mostly just pop culture forced into the molds of the show
nah, family guy has awful humor
I disagree with you on that vigorously. I admit some of it is just retarded, but that's why it's funny.
There's just no edge to this show anymore. Some people seem to forget how revolutionary the show was back then. It was a cartoon that was aimed at adults and it developed a style of humour that was so wild and subversive and actually shocking for its time. If you take the television shows made before the Simpsons and after you'll notice a huge difference in television. Now it's just another show and looking at its animation and writing it seems like the guys making the new episodes are acting like it's "just another show." The Simpsons, you've done some great things in the past but just like everything else great, it needs to end at a point. This show's a zombie now.
In my opinion the Show just can't work anymore because back when it was very good it was making fun of pop culture and what society was at the time. Nowadays they can't even make fun of pop culture correctly because they have become a huge part of the pop culture they used to make fun of. They just couldn't manage to grasp the essence of a brand new pop culture and stayed too close to their way to proceed back in the 90s. Most characters can't even exist anymore. Like the comics fan guy.
I'm surprised by the amount of people saying King of the hill is funny, how is it funny ? i watched a bunch of episodes, recorded them, played them back and meticulously looked for the funny but i just couldn't find it. Can any of you show me where it is ?
I watched just about every season of The Simpsons straight for years then just stopped finding it funny. I would like to see this go through though.
Most characters can't even exist anymore. Like the comics fan guy.
They could change him into the video games guy. That would be a lot more culturally relevant.
Family guy sucks now but American Dad is great. Cleveland show doesn't exist
Family guy sucks now but American Dad is great. Cleveland show doesn't exist
I don't get the family guy hate, I watch it in the same way I read Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff.
I don't get the family guy hate, I watch it in the same way I read Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff.
The show used to be clever and have a plot but now it's just cut away gags
The show used to be clever and have a plot but now it's just cut away gags
Oh my god, the plots are so horrible. They seriously used the same plot twice.
The show used to be clever and have a plot but now it's just cut away gags
The latest season actually seems to have improved over the 2 seasons before it. I wasn't a big fan of season 8 but season 9 is p. good.
I love The Simpsons. I've been watching it since I was a kid when it was on the Tracey Ullman show.

Its pretty down to earth for an animated comedy. Its probably just one of those things were its either funny to you, or it isn't. According to Wikipedia, its classified as a "drama-comedy", so it tends to draw from "serious" real life issues, but adds humor to them.
Simpsons, Futurama, American Dad, King of the Hill family guy is a joke
Implying family guy has jokes in it. Irony.
nah, family guy has awful humor
Or you could just be open-minded and look for funny shit in everything.
Family guy's humor is alot different, it's strange. You just try to describe the psychology behind it.
Family Guy is generally seen as funny to people who can relate to the jokes. Since Family Guy keeps up with America's current pop-culture and style of humor. You might not find it funny, but my god, a lot of people do.
The Young Ones, my favorite British Comedy.
I mean newer stuff like Gavin & Stacey, Inbetweeners and that kinda shit young ones is good
