Neither are the last three in your Avenger's list. Anyway, this is all nitpicking.
Uh, no. Falcon is not going to be in Avengers 2 and is not confirmed to be in any of the future lineups, the last three are.
Well, it kind of fits, before the reboot, Alan Scott had a gay superhero son, he's younger now, so he's gay instead.
I kind of like the fabulously new Alan Scott
DC, if you're going to push Cyborg can you at least make him not incredibly boring? It's painfully obvious how much of a token black guy he is on the Justice League. He was great in Teen Titans but boy is he not the same in everything else I've seen.
watch flashpoint paradox
I predict that this movie will be a piece of crap.
There's a really cool blogpost about where the entire DC film universe seems to be headed, and while I was a bit skeptical at first (because Man of Steel really was only "pretty fun" at best), I'm now actually REALLY excited about it! I'm a huge DC fan, and I think this is an excellent way to move things forward: http://www.sixokay.com/2013/11/23/man-of-steel-isnt-about-superman/ Basically, they're going to do it Justice League Unlimited style, where each movie will focus on one "adventure" with one or two big-timers, like Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, or another "Household Name" hero to draw in the crowds, but still featuring major roles and appearances for several less famous heroes/villains as integral parts of the plot. These smaller team up movies will feature several characters per movie instead of just one, and have a full on Justice League team-up movie featuring all the core members of the group side by side after every few of the more character-centric arcs. That way, they can have a shared DC film universe where every hero exists and gets screen time, without having to give every hero their own exclusive films (which is unrealistic, since they don't have a dedicated studio, there's limited funding, a huge roster, and characters like The Question or Black Canary just don't have enough star power to make it worthwhile to give them their own movie). This is opposed to the Marvel's Avengers style of development, where each character gets his own dedicated film, with only very limited cameos or references to the other characters, and with new Avengers movies coming out only after the cycle has come full circle. Marvel Approach: [t]http://www.sixokay.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/mcu.jpg[/t] DC Approach: [t]http://www.sixokay.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/dccu.jpg[/t] I'm very excited, because I think this is a brilliant way to do it!
the question is gonna be the next big superhero household name. i can feel it in my guts.
the question is gonna be the next big superhero household name. i can feel it in my guts.
He's pretty effin' great, tho!
I think its gonna be a cameo and nothing more, DC is desperate but not crazy enough to put a character like that into the movie
The fuck happened to another Superman movie?
it got killed during superman's genocide of metropolis
Nice. I'm just hoping that it'll be better than Man of Steel or the awful Green Lantern movie. It'd be great if we could get a movie based on something like Crisis on Infinite Earths/Infinite Crisis, or Blackest Night though.
If it wasn't directed by Zack Snyder, I'd give the film a chance.
Rather would have had Martian Manhunter.
When I saw the title I -for some reason- thought of the 1989 film Cyborg starting Jean-Claude Van Damme. Now that would be a cross over!
I'm hoping the movie has more of the tone demonstrated in the recent dc animated movies as opposed to the recent trend of superhero movies.
Oh, what's next? They might as well make "The Justice League movie". What is Warner Bros thinking trying to clutter this movie's development like this.
let's hit those showers
I'm hoping the movie has more of the tone demonstrated in the recent dc animated movies as opposed to the recent trend of superhero movies.
If by tone you mean Flashpoint Paradox and backwards then that would be great for the movie. But I hated the most recent Justice League: War and the future movies don't look that promising.
Here's the thing though: DC hasn't realised that the DCAU and assorted animated series are the only DC material that the general public, AKA the majority of the people to go see their movies, give a shit about. The main reaction to the Hal Jordan Green Lantern movie was "why isn't green lantern black", and it doesn't help that nobody gives a shit about Hal Jordan.
I'll admit that thanks to growing up with the Justice League and the DCAU, John Stewart will always be the one true Green Lantern for me. (Same with Wally West being the Flash.)
Marvels never rebooted, and only pulled similar bullshit a small amount of times, really. They're bad with keeping status quo, but better than DC.
What? Marvel just rebooted twice in two years.
If by tone you mean Flashpoint Paradox and backwards then that would be great for the movie. I thought it was decent enough, but that may just be my Darkseid bias talking.
Umm, want's the point calling this movie "Batman vs. Superman" anyway imo, if they're casting more superheros in this film? They're better off just changing the title the movie to "The Justice League" or something like that imo.
nobody said batman vs superman was the final title
What? Marvel just rebooted twice in two years.
No? No they havent. They've relaunched titles, but they dont have super crisis crossovers ending with the universe literally rebooting, meaning everything before is a waste of time. If you stretch it a bit, The Incredible Hulk could work as a sequel.
Oh, what's next? They might as well make "The Justice League movie". What is Warner Bros thinking trying to clutter this movie's development like this.
I don't get why this is a criticism, because one of the appeals of the DC universe is that it's huge and shared with dozens/hundreds of heroes and villains. Casting a wider net into the DC universe that introduces the two most iconic characters side by side for the first time WITHOUT at least having cameos or references to other characters would be like having an X-Men movie with only one mutant.
What's wrong with War? My biggest complain With JL: War was the voice acting. I hated Batman's voice, and did they just pull some random chick off the street for Wonder Woman?
nobody said batman vs superman was the final title
Oh crap, I didn't even know that, sorry. :X
Wait until you see Son of Batman guys. Damian kicks Deathstroke's ass every encounter including taking his eye.
Rather would have had Martian Manhunter.
Am I crazy or did someone "important" say something along the lines of "we don't think audiences would like seeing Manhunter"
