Nope, if you're a framerate whore like me. You need to max the game and still be playing at 120fps stable. Anything less is unacceptable. Still, I'm not dropping nearly 1000€ on this. my gtx 590 is still hurting my wallet from last year.
lol
Unless there's a staggering difference between this and the current flagship cards then I don't know why you'd want to pay such a hefty amount of money unless you're one of those people.
If I was like, a millionaire or more I'd get this and a beast CPU/MB/HD, huge fucking dualing monitors and just shit out something totally rediculous, then just swamp my steam account with boatloads of games. After that, rape skyrim with mods and see how many it takes to go from 800fps to 30. but outside of that it's just plain unrealistic. It's great if you just want to go crazy, but a real, honest enthusiast is more keen than that.
My motherboard is ready

Could one even utilize the whole thing?
Could one even utilize the whole thing?
It's easier than you think.
Could one even utilize the whole thing?
I'm sure planetside 2 would make this card stutter bit. Just a bit.
I'm sure planetside 2 would make this card stutter bit. Just a bit.
Once SOE learns how to use a CPU properly. 3770's bottleneck most machines.
But.... I just bought a GTX 680 FUCK But hey, this card is the greatest thing i've ever bought, anyway
But.... I just bought a GTX 680 FUCK
You got a much better value if that makes you feel any better.
You got a much better value if that makes you feel any better.
Yeah, by eons.
Yeah, by eons.
An eon is a measurement of time, it's as weird as saying "I saved millenia of money on this".
But.... I just bought a GTX 680 FUCK
if you bought a second it'd be more powerful than the titan too
I am perfectly happy with my GTX 680. I won't lie when I say the card looks cool, though. Since everyone knows physical appearance is the most important factor of a graphics card. :v:
An eon is a measurement of time, it's as weird as saying "I saved millenia of money on this".
Time is money.
I need to render my videos while I capture them for the latest up to date Let's Play Slender videos so this is perfect for me.
Hmm, comes out on my birthday. I know what I'm asking for.
Ok, I know what i'm getting when I upgrade this summer. And i'll use my 660ti as a dedicated physx card.
My 560 Ti has made the lights in my room flicker when under heavy load, this thing would probably give your house roving brownouts

Why would you buy this over a 690?
Before you cream yourself, this is a bad investment. You can get a 670 which will max out everything right now and you'll still have 500 pounds left (presumably for whenever the 670 gets outdated)
I have a 670 and I can't run GTA IV.
I have a 670 and I can't run GTA IV.
My old 8800 GTX can max out GTA IV.
My old 8800 GTX can max out GTA IV.
that's good for you. a 670 can't.
Why would you buy this over a 690?
Someone who wants much more GPGPU performance, wants something quieter, doesn't want to worry about SLI issues, needs 6GB of Vram on a single GPU, easily overclocking a monitor. There are advantages, just they are specific.
Why would you buy this over a 690?
Someone who wants to take advantage of the raw power of the card and make it last. [editline]19th February 2013[/editline]
that's good for you. a 670 can't.
Yes it can, I just was playing EFLC 2 days ago on my rig, which runs a 670 FTW 4GB, and a 660ti as dedicated physx. And GTA IV works just fine. That exactly is the issue on your end? It should work flawlessly.
that's good for you. a 670 can't.
Either your pc is having a huge bottleneck, or your windows installation is full of viruses and other shit. 670 and 680 are the top cards atm.
