House Democrats look at taxing the rich for health care

Why not just promote charity? You are forcing philanthropy on the rich simply because you don't want to get rid of any of the inefficiencies and pork barrel spending of congress.
hmm
wait a second
still gonna act like you're on that high ground?
No no no! Don't puss out now and go back to the easy argument!
Improvement is improvement. Everyone has the capability.
Bullshit. Fucking bullshit. That is downright insulting. You're saying that I'm not where I am today because of how I BUSTED MY ASS to get here, but because of some fucking invisible advantage you made up?
You are full of shit. I got to where I am because I worked. I studied, I researched, and I still bust my ass day by day just for self improvement and understanding. I won't sit here and have anyone tell me that didn't mean anything, that I got here because of some inherent bullshit talent I am lucky to have,
[editline]09:56PM[/editline]
The only advantage I had was a strong jaw.
It's easy to fucking say "not everyone has the ability" when you're in an environment wealthy enough to afford consistent internet access, and you haven't known the meaning of the word labor.
What little respect I had for you is quickly diminishing, not because of your bullshit assertion but your lack of gonads to defend it.
According to Ayn Rand, you're supposed to be selfish. You shouldn't be forced to help anyone.

I love Libertarian Idealism
Apparently the poor are all stupid, lazy and don't work hard. But Rich people are all hard working intelligent people.
And it's a bit of a coincidence that most libertarians I know are upper middle class and above. I've never met a working class libertarian.

Because obviously the are making a lot of money because they are an average person, right?

This is not charity, it's improving the standard of living. Firefighters, Police, libraries, etc are all socialized, why not healthcare?
Health care is not a fucking leisure item that you could live without.
he's a furry btw
lmao
Hey. Who cares?
Why don't we just make everyone equal and become a Communist nation? That would solve all of our current financial woes.

We wouldn't last another 2 years if that happened.

It's not a right.
Let us start by examining the position of the Democrats. They assert that every human being has a right to health care, and that it is the government's job to provide for those who cannot afford it. There are three key terms here: right, health care, and provide. Let's define the first two.
Right: that which an individual is entitled to without the consent of or compensation to anyone else. For example, people have a right to life. That is, they do not need anyone's permission, nor are they obligated to compensate anyone in order to live. It is appropriate for an individual to demand, rather than ask for, their right to life to be respected.
Health care: a service which primarily consists of the labor of health care providers. For example, a physician exerts his mind and body, utilizing his education and experience, to attempt to diagnose and treat a patient's illness or injury. That physician's labor is "health care."
Let us now restate the argument made by the Democrats, using these definitions in place of the terms themselves.
"Every individual is entitled to the labor of health care providers without compensating them or obtaining their consent. It is appropriate for individuals to demand, rather than ask, that health care providers treat them for free."
Gibberish.
And according to David Icke, the reptillians control the government with the help of the illuminati.
Just cause someone says it doesn't mean it automatically has validity.

I'm not rich. You're condescending and you ignored the point.
I came from an extremely poor family and have arisen to what is essentially middle class. Don't tell me that wasn't because I worked my ass off. Furthermore, don't sit there and insult my intelligence. Remember, I'm the fucking demographic you're claiming to want to help.
Because obviously the are making a lot of money because they are an average person, right?
There are rich people who have worked their asses off to reach where they have.
But most were lucky enough to have connections or to be born into wealth or to have a particular special talent.
Again there are poor people who are lowlifes.
A miner vs. Paris Hilton, who's richer? Who's done more work?
A miner vs. a physicist, who's richer? Who's done more work?
It works both ways.
So this shouldn't be the argument. But most Libertarians believe rich people are intelligent and hard workers and people below the poverty line are all worthless. This is the problem.
It's the same if you think all poor people are fucked over by the system and the rich people are just lucky.
My point, however is the the flat tax idea: if you take a person with 10€ and a person with 20€ and you take 5€ away... WHO is more affected?
Obviously the richer person.
I can't believe I'm using basic math to explain the ethics of a robin hood idea.

Maybe YOU haven't earned jack shit in your life, but I and many others have, and we don't need people like you telling us we have an obligation to help people who haven't done jack shit.

You're the first person I know, then. I said the libertarians I know, did I say all libertarians?
Never said you were. I came from a family that is far below the poverty line. They still are, and my father works two jobs. It works either way. I don't know what your point is.

Maybe you should get out a little more often rather than having circle jerks with other people who agree with you. That, and stop spewing rhetoric at people who you aren't even listening to.

Are you really saying that most people who are well off didn't get good grades, go to a good college, and work for their money?
Rich people aren't as monolithic as that.
great, now lankist is never going to stop
this must be how you've felt for the last 8 hours you've been arguing here
oh well, i took a chance
And as per usual you make a fool of yourself.
A racist fool at that.
This is not charity, it's improving the standard of living.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/charity
"benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity"
"generosity and helpfulness especially toward the needy or suffering ; also : aid given to those in need"
"a gift for public benevolent purposes"
All of those describe improving some poor schmuck's standard of living pretty well. It's not like doing so is mandatory or a given, otherwise you wouldn't be discussing doing it.

No, that's not libertarian at all...
what are you doing
And as per usual you make a fool of yourself.

well at least it's nothing like the non-stop comedy your arguments have been
nice to see you pretending to ascribe racism to me though, even when you have something you can't deal with what's actually being presented
[editline]02:47AM[/editline]
even though that's a little embarrassing it's nothing compared to this though
implying people who bitch about poverty spend too much time whining.
you always go too far man, you either ignore something entirely, reach for something that isn't there, or say something uniquely stupid
