Laws and Morals serve the same purpose, to regulate stuff. And they have the same roots. Morality is manmade, not directly, more in a social convention, but nevertheless, morals are manmade. So are Laws. They corelate. Obviously, social morality mirrors the more or less current status of what society thinks is wrong and right. It is wrong to kill people, it is wrong to take money from other people etc.

I just read through this entire thread and if you want health care, you can get a job with those benefits. I don't want some "universal healthcare plan" provided by the government because it would be shitty. Look at Canada, yeah it's totally great up there, especially when their citizens have to sneak down to the United States to get some decent hospital care.
