I'm not trying to impose anything on anyone. I'm trying to change the rules of my country. You don't want to pay your taxes? Fine, leave the country, you're allowed to. Go to Somalia, there's no government there, it sounds exactly like what you're looking for.
You don't have to pay taxes. You only have to pay taxes want to live in a civilized country.
Maybe we do pay taxes but we don't want universal healthcare.
i'm pretty sure that's slander though i'll see you in the people's court
The argument still boils down to morals (When I say morals, I mean empathy, being humane, compassion, blah) and Constitutional Rights and free-will.
you're not helping your side man
There is no side.
It is to my niece.
well if she saw that face we saw
ahem
I can't remember the last time we had a good debate to be honest.
you're that old and you have these opinions
holy shit
i thought you were just another 17-18 year old libertarian coming out of an unhappy highschool or something
well i guess law school explains a bit
You say shit like that but you provide no argument to the contrary, making a fool of yourself and your philosophy.
You want to ignore that question? Fine. Answer this one:
What is the value of Human Life?

what's his skin colour
yeah and you certainly aren't guilty of anything like that
Political alignment does not determine intelligence. I don't see democrats as stupid or inferior. They just have very leftist ideas, which I personally dislike, as their ideas usually involve taking money away from hardworking rich people or manipulating the constitution that this country was founded on.
Democracy was created so that people who work hard can get ahead. This is how it used to be, and that is how it still should be in the US. Everyone has the opportunity to get rich.
Now that's my personal opinion.
Maybe we do pay taxes but we don't want universal healthcare.
Well then you fucking vote against the political candidates who support Universal Health Care, and if your candidates lose, you either suck it up and live with it until the next election, or you leave.
It's a democracy people.
I just want to post the overall point of my argument, if someone wasn't smart enough to recieve healthcare, why should the "rich" according to some Democratic suits involved in politics have to pay for their mistake?
Sure there are some cases where the citizens are too sick but that isn't the case for every single uninsured person in the states.

what argument are you expecting from me?
i'm saying that you would appreciate human life more if you had more social interaction, that is a really simple and easily argued position if you're attempting to argue differently
the value of a human life is worth far more than a few extra gold plated watches for a rich man, that is the value of a human life
Well I can say my money is more important than some guy I don't even know who wasn't smart enough to get a job with benefits.
The problem is it's hard for immigrants, college diploma or not, to get a good job straight off the bat here. They'll take anything they get while they try and find better jobs. Some of these guys are smart, the only problem is that they're desperate. They need income to support themselves and their families while moonlighting. Of course you do have the ones who aren't that smart and their qualifications don't allow them to get jobs with benefits.

Mine or his

I don't think we've ever debated

Yeah you can tell yourself everything is perfect and your vote counts.... In your fucking dreams

uhh yeah you do that's why i told you to get out

no not really, the founding fathers were leftists

that's not even democracy, that's capitalism
i mean how did you even get that confused

the democrats are centrist, they are only "leftist" if you're a member of the fascist party
political alignment might not determine intelligence, but statements like this suggest it.

:dogout:
It's a stupid plan we should tax the president and give it to the supreme court. Then we should buy congress a pool table.
That's the basis of all laws. In this country, we consider setting forests on fire a bad thing, so if you want to set forests on fire, you go to a country where it is legal to set forests on fire, or you do it here and go to jail for it.
Your point being what? That it's justifiable?
what argument are you expecting from me?

See, that's a bullshit argument. Oh, you're on the internet, you have no social interaction. Nigga, you're in the internet too. You've been involved in this discussion as long as I have. So please, share what you've gleaned. For the rest of us, what is the value of human life? Thus far you've said it's bigger than a breadbox.

Immigrants are an entirely different matter when it comes to politics.
Democracy was created so that people who work hard can get ahead. This is how it used to be, and that is how it still should be in the US. Everyone has the opportunity to get rich.
Actually democracy originated as a way of breaking the stranglehold that the wealthy landowners had over the numerous poor in ancient Greece. The wealthy families took advantage of the poor through things like generational debt, the poor got fed up and fought back, and gradually, to end the strife, democracy was brought in as a compromise between the two sides.

But for every immigrant it's harder. No matter what they were before they came here.

That's capitalism dipshit.
Immigrants are an entirely different matter when it comes to politics.
Wait was your quote from my earlier post about native born Americans who can't get jobs without benefits?
Your point being what? That it's justifiable?
not that it's justifiable, that it's already been justified. That's how the country you live in works. The government mandates that you follow certain rules that are important to society as a whole. I can't piss on old ladies walking down the street because the government, formed by the people says that pissing on old ladies is a bad thing, and that if I piss on old ladies, it will punish me for it.

i'm not saying that you have no social interaction because you're on the internet
what i'm saying is that your callous view of human life and constant attempts to belittle the value of that life suggest a profound lack of human contact
ps you were in the discussion before me :)
