I interpreted it as the OP implying that he thought data would be stored in atoms themselves, as if a USB stick was that small it wouldn't actually be able to be plugged into a USB port (unless that had been downsized but eh)
Storage of memory sticks is almost always a power of 2 and 42 is not a power of 2. 64gb ones have been out for a while.

Actually , I would've thought that it'd be retro.
As in , It'd be a small laptop style computer , in the shape of the book. You use a pen to write shit in , organize it for different subjects , etc , etc.
Pretty much a touchscreen jotter.
This is good since it A: Saves space , B: Keeps children writing with style and C: Is just epic.
I want to have all the knowledge downloaded directly into my brain.
Actually in the future, a USB stick will be about 10TB.
