We were gifted control of a botnet of about 5200 systems by a supporter of us, who just happened to be the one that acquired the first golden wrench. Needless to say we came out on top, but that didn't matter since TF2 going free to play pretty much destroyed our demographic. Also strongarmed a site that labelled us as a bot host.

I feel sorry for this Austin kid. I could gladly bet it was some other kid out there wanting him to get the blame and be harassed for a long time coming.

it is very much possible to track absolutely anybody down on the internet, even if they're behind proxies, or using TOR or anything, absolutely anybody has an internet footprint because it's really hard to honestly get rid of EVERYTHING that could be used to track you down, so there's a very real possibility that this Austin guy is actually ••••••••••••. But if they are really a team, then this guy is probably just the PR person, or the guy that handles the twitter, like they said before.

How do you guys know that it wasn't just some guy who took a picture of it because he wanted to play it, and just assumed that it was the ddoser so he put his name on it? The official twitter could of then just slapped the image on there and claimed that they did it to create a red herring.

Fucking goddammit, now Ubisoft is being DDOS'd.
