It's not his job to stream any specific game. Why should his work day be cut short because somebody is ddos'ing? He cares about his fans and wanted to bring them content. Of course that's just using it for monetary gain right? It was never his goal to just get the views. Source is I watched the entire thing from the very beginning.

I was going to hit a record he was excited, it was big. I lost it, so to speak. I feel like I was held hostage in a way. Every game I tried to play got taken down. Almost his exact words. I for one, wanted to play league and wanted to know when the servers were back up. He managed to ask them that. That's one of the big reasons anybody saying he did it just for the money instead of his viewers is just, for lack of a more fitting word, butthurt.
