Well, it was until the last provincial election. Curious to see how the federal one is going to pan out since the Alberta NDP won a majority government very recently.
Ironically, I live in Edmonton and saw a couple posts on Facebook about this very same sign. Apparently the guy liked to park it in very obvious places and busy streets.
Shit, you're right. Damn, it's still really weird that they've gone NDP like that.

From what I've heard people are already regretting it. I also expect Wynne's trainwreck of a government to be a boost for the blues and oranges in Ontario.

What do you know? You don't live here in Alberta.
"I've heard" usually means bullshit.

Post-election polls show a higher support for Wildrose than NDP, 40% vs 31%, and Notley's approval has fallen 12 points. The only part of the province still polling NDP is Edmonton.
Down in India, you don't just get fined for insulting politicians in the ruling party. They get the cops to arrest you and beat the crap out of you at a police station, that's assuming they dont put you in prison for a week or two and harass your family and friends into the bargain.
Hope he argues against this decision, that's fucking bull shit by any standard.
because a giant sign that says "FUCK HARPER" is annoying and sticks out, most of us are accustomed to ignore advertising.
how do those boots taste
$15 is too much. $10 would be a better proposal.
literally every province in Canada has a minimum wage over $10, the lowest being $10.25 in B.C
I'm voting liberal because the NDP platform is too focused on reversing conservative policies entirely and they will spend half their time in power doing so. The liberals platform is stronger in my opinion, their opinion on weed legalization is better than NDP, their stance on aboriginal and international issues is better than NDP and Trudeau along with the party have shown that they are willing to compromise with the other parties when it makes sense to do so. Trudeau plans to simply edit parts of the conservative policies rather than totally reverse things and he actually seems to take the democratic process seriously (voting for the pipeline because he realizes that it is about as sustainable as a pipeline can get) rather than rejecting it because it is a Conservative project.

Trudeau also supports C-51 so that instantly made sure I'd never vote for him

Trudeau lost a lot of support over that. The blue Grits are going Tory because of the fear of the NDP winning, and the more left in the party are going NDP because of C-51.
Maybe it's a similar case to a thing that happened here, a guy was forced to take down his flag from his rear window, because blocking out your rear window is illegal for obvious reasons, but the suspect and the press of course insisted it was part of some PC clamp-down on patriotism/nationalism
