Numbers are tricky, so is matching footage, so is understanding things. Pretty much everything is tricky, except fear. Fear is pretty simple.
I'm scared :ohdear:
It should say "Does Fox News falsify all of their statistical information? Yes - 100% Sure - 100% Probably - 100%"
Why do they use likely, unlikely? very possibly, may be, somehow somewhat not true: 50% very possibly, may be, somehow somewhat true: 50%
The original poll question that FOX took the data from:
3* In order to support their own theories and beliefs about global warming, how likely is it that some scientists have falsified research data? 35% Very likely 24% Somewhat likely 21% Not very likely 5% Not at all likely 15% Not sure
I hope someone at Fox just messed up their math and wasn't actually trying to misrepresent the data, however... They indicated the question was "Did scientists falsify research to support their own theories on Global Warming?", which is rather different from the actual poll question. The original poll question is designed to elicit "Very" and "Somewhat" responses by asking if "some scientists" have falsified data, which is almost certainly true. A better question might ask how common this is, and another should ask how severe the falsifications are. They combined the "Not very" and "Not at all" category. They combined the "Very" and "Somewhat" category while still showing "Very" separately. They don't indicate "Not sure" at all. After skimming the article Rasmussen put out about the poll, this is definitely an oversimplification based on how the article described the poll. Still disappointing that the people at Fox didn't go to the source of the data. A better poll question to report on would probably be:
5* Is global warming a serious problem? 46% Yes 36% No 18% Not sure
But then I'd expect them to combine "No" and "Not sure" into "No".
Blah
It's a simple polling error, methinks. Even if it were deliberate, Rasmussen isn't Fox News; they're independent of them, to my knowledge.
But you can't get more than 100%
Stop trying FOX, please.
No, it's funny watching them kill themselves :downs:
My mom and dad believe I exist. :frown:
Then again, they could just be made up. Nothing really exists except for you, and it's incredibly difficult if not impossible to prove otherwise.
I doubt it's still up. What, do you honestly think someone would just blatantly make up a flawed fox news poll and get away with it?
don't you?
If any of you are using Fox News as a news source you have other things to be worrying about than fixed polls.

If Fox finds maths hard then they should really by trying to report the news. How can you be balanced at reporting when you can't even balance an equation.
