As of right now we don't have to pay extra for used games and we can play it offline for as long as we want. Those two things alone make PS4 leagues better than the xbox one.
Yes. That's information in it's current state. I'm saying in it's current state xbox one is a pile of shit because of unknown always online or not and used game fees.
I don't see why we shouldn't go off of what employees at microsoft tell us directly.
I believe Sony only said that you could play Used games... they never mentioned if you had to pay a fee or not? Correct me and show me your source if I am wrong.
My point was that, yes you can 100% go by what Microsoft is telling you, TO JUDGE MICROSOFT.
You can't say, "Well microsoft is making us pay a fee so PS4 is better."
What if in 2 weeks Sony comes out and says the same thing? At this point in time you can say, both consoles can play used games, and no one is 100% sure exactly how that will work for either console.
Okay poopie head.
What can you tell me about the Playstation that makes it better?
My whole point is that, neither console is fully revealed.
Playstation has said that the new console will play used games, but they didn't say whether or not you need to pay a fee. So what are you going to do if Playstation releases the same information?
The whole point, wiener breath, is that there isn't enough information on either one. You can have whatever stance you want. However, it is a bit fanboyism to instantly talk up one device without knowing anything about it.
You know part of what Xboxs stance on used games is, so you can say that the xbox is making a stupid move in that sector. On the other hand you don't know what Playstation is doing so you can't just say, well since Xbox is doing the wrong way, PS4 is doing the right way.
You really don't know.
Hell, The PS4 came out and told us with CPU it was using. I am extremely impressed by the specs that were released by the PS4, but I didn't just turn around and say, "well only one console can do it right, so the Xbox One has to be wrong with specs."
I threw a couple of name callings in there, make you feel special.

The fact that you rated me dumb and became defensive shows that you might be one of those people who is dead set on one console without enough information being released. A.k.a fanboyism.
What a winner.
What a winner.
It's spelled, wiener.
Also, I am defending both consoles. PS4 isn't being attacked right now. The Xbox is...
Why would I jump to the Playstations defense when it isn't needing it at the moment?
If you turn around and say that PS4 is shitty because it uses GDDR5 over GDDR3, I will come back and say that Sony is set up differently than the Xbox in such a way that GDDR5 is going to be an improvement for them.
I have stated so many many many times that I am undecided. I am just not ruling out one console for made up stuff. I don't know enough information about either console. I have no idea which one I am buying. I am open to both of them. I am waiting until E3 to make a definite choice.

I'm saying as of right now we don't have to pay fees on PS4. If they go and change that all the sudden for PS4 then i'm def not getting one.
I imagine people over at Microsoft flipping their shit right now.
Wouldn't be surprised if they present a redesign or something like that.
Flipping their shit over what? The PS4 and Xbox One are practically identical. The only real difference is how many new and original games were shown in their presentations, which the PS4 displayed more of. I personally liked the Xbox One approach of showing off the console instead of the games because that was the intended purpose of the reveal, it was a "Next Gen Console Reveal" not a "Next Gen Games Reveal," that is what E3 is for.
Everyone here is jumping the gun over nothing. I explicitly heard MS announce 15 titles and 8 original games. It's not like they are saying "F gamers."
It's not like they are saying "F gamers."
ok
Aw man, why does Iran always have to be the odd one out. My homeland is weird.
And this vote is really arbitrary, it just shows what people think so far. I'm more towards PS4 at this point too but Micrsoft showed 5 minutes of pre-rendered footage as their game segment. Which is rather dumb. They should have just waited for E3 instead of ruining things for themselves like they did yesterday.

You actually just proved my point. You can't say as of right now you don't have to pay a fee. As of right now you know used games will work. Period. End of story.
You have no idea the conditions on how they will work.
You can tell me Xbox is stupid for making you pay a fee, fine. 100% okay with that. Especially when I know several people that only buy used games. I completely understand people being pissed about that.
But to turn around and praise a system that you don't know anything about is stupid.
Every article says, the PS4 CAN play used games. Never has Sony come out and say there won't be a fee.
The reason why Sony came out and said that you can play used games is because if you remember, they patented technology to prevent used games from being played at all. They took it a step further than microsoft did at that point. So the wonderful company of Sony doesn't even want you to play used games.
They realized that was a mistake and are now allowing you to play used games. However, that doesn't mean they aren't going to charge you a fee to do so. You and I both will have to wait until they come out and officially say that.
can play it offline for as long as we want.
Last I checked, almost every game/media news site has debunked this. The Xbox One will play games even if you are not connected online. However, MS has given developers the choice to create games that require a constant connection.

The default has been no fee. There hasn't been a used fee for every other console out there until now. So if they make that change they can't just say "it plays used games" without saying that it requires a fee.
So as of right now it's not unreasonable to think that there won't be fees for used games for PS4. If/when they do announce that they will require a fee then the PS4 will be just as shit as the xbox. For now, the PS4 is light years ahead.

They wanted to completely ban used games? So a logical jump is to make it 100% restriction free? Seriously?
If anything you should expect the worse, but hope for the best.
Now, the PS4 is on par with Xbox One. Period.
I'll get you a ruler to measure a light year, there is no way that 2 undecided "facts" create a light year for one console.
I am reasonable and I am still looking at both Consoles as if they are still newly undiscovered. I know they both have potential and I can't wait to get either a PS4 or an Xbox One.
ok

you're as much of an idiot for putting this much faith into the console as the people trashing the console
it was a terrible press conference that showed us nothing worthwhile. jumping to conclusions now, positive or negative, is stupid
Putting any restrictions on used games will cause a bunch of shit for gamers and retailers.
Places like gamestop or companies that let people rent games will be fucked.
And I would bet that, some retailers won't allow returns of a game for cash or credit. Maybe only for a new copy of the same game.
This could even lead to more piracy. Especially if porting between consoles and PC become easier.
Let's judge things that aren't even released yet!

At least they're on equal footing. First Impressions mean a lot about consoles or anything in general.

yup
I think the big problem is that people are basing the product quality off of an awful press conference. it could easily be better than ps4, easily worse, only time will tell which one is objectively better
To be honest, I'd say that vote would be a lot more balanced if the conference just consisted to them showing the console, listing the specs and features, and walking off the stage. They absolutely crucified themselves in that reveal.
I am not surprised about this at all. The Xbox reveal really killed any hype about the new Xbox.

the reveal was literally "hey finally a new xbox!! let's show off all the stuff you don't care about! woo haha ;)"

Used games are practically the same as piracy as far as developers and publishers are concerned, they'll never see any of that money while Gamestop is getting crazy profits from it. Putting restrictions on used games is anti-consumer for sure, but if they kill off that market I wonder if more publishers would get rid of the stupid online pass & pre-order DLC bullshit that everyone hates. All that stuff is really there to combat used games sales.

They will get rid of online passes for sure since they exist purely because of second-hand market and nothing else. Pre-order DLC serves more purposes than just to discourage second-hand though.
People have preferences. How is that news?
Does this means Sony will enter a second Playstation 2 era?
Oh man oh god

No, it's "Let's judge things based on the information that we've been given." And so far all of the information we've been given on the Xbox One is shit.
Dammit France, stop picking both sides.
Well yeah, because they showed fuck all at the reveal. Microsoft just went full retard at that event
it makes sense, the only reasons 360 sold better than PS3 was because for years the PS3 was prohibitively expensive (by a large, large margin) and the 360 was always ahead of PS3 in terms of games and support (and it came out a year earlier so more consumer base)
The funniest thing about this whole TV integrated system deal is that while they knew they were watched by the whole world, they gave zero assurance the TV system will work in other languages, let alone other nations.
Since they also gave zero assurance about the consolle not being always online (and it kinda is) or the DRM not being there (and it is) I have this feeling that people outside the US won't be able to do shit with the TV functions either.
Finally the users acknowledged the xbox was a piece of shit. I am not talking about the 1st one, that was good. I am talking about 360 and 1 having users like slaves thanks to live.
