Was the original intent to beat someone because they were a different race? Maybe. An investigation would probably have to look into it, no one on Facepunch really has the answer to that. Psychologically speaking, alcohol doesn't make people act against what they want to do. Alcohol removes self inhibitions and lets a person's true self come out. So when someone gets drunk and wants to make-out with someone else every time, this is because they're promiscuous, even if they don't usually act like it. When someone gets violent when they get drunk, it's because they're actually a violent person. So therefore not being used to being drunk is not an excuse for keeping someone out of jail. The girl gang members are violent whether or not they were drunk.
