4chan's "project harpoon" brings out the beauty in overweight women

The shops with the enlarged or untouched breasts speak more of the creator's personality than that of the shopped womens'. Who could blame them? I want a hentai dream babe, too.
Reading through these last 3 pages has really shown how in reality we should stop shaming or hurting anyone because of their size. Both Fat and Skinny people receive this bullshit and reality all it does is just stop them from trying to improve.
And please stop arguing about whether or not Fat or Skinny people receive hate or not. In reality the both of them totally do.
You point that out while being immoral yourself. The difference here is that they're aware of what they're doing, while you yourself doesn't even consider what you say to be offensive.
Funny is subjective. They find it funny, therefore their satire is successful.
tell me what I'm saying that's offensive to the innocent
if you tell somebody that they're being offensive, usually you also tell them why what they said was offensive and how it actually harms somebody so that they don't do it again. otherwise, it sounds like a purely defensive statement on your behalf

You've already been pointed out what's offensive about what you said.

would you like to let me know or quote a post because I'm clearly not recognising what that is, unless it's the nerd thing from earlier in the thread which if you'll read the thread, I explained wasn't right of me
Apparently there's a second phase where they're going to photoshop thin women to be fat and tag them so that when they complain SJWs will turn on them.

Well now I'm just confused.

The point is to make people mad and laugh as people get mad. It's better when the people getting mad start acting like hypocritics.

It doesn't much matter if someone carrying a message is a hypocrite, really. You seem very much into calling people out on not being %100 in their constitution, but as a human I'm sure you can understand that people often find themselves wanting to be something they aren't and even taking steps away from their goal despite still wanting. The message, or the movement, is much more important than the integrity of the individual involved.
I honestly can't believe you are trying to argue with someone about being nice to people. It's a ridiculous image.
Do you exercise? In many cases exercising stimulates body to use the nutrition instead of dumping it. Or could you maybe be depressed? I personally couldn't gain any weight while depressed despite eating a lot. Once that went away metabolism seemed to return to more or less normal.
I've been battling depression since I was about 16/17. Back and forth, but mostly just trying to move forward and just move on, y'know? That was an even darker time for me and my weight, I was down to about 106lbs and I looked legitimately sickly.
The most excersice I get is from my job, and I'm a Server so I'm constantly moving and walking and since its at a bowling alley, I have to clean up heavy ass bowling balls and I use them for lifting weights most of the time and its starting to show and catch up to me after a year. BUT... Along with that, I've been dealing with chronic back, neck, and migraine pain since the depression started and then I got into a rear-end car accident on July 30th, which I'm doing physical therapy for (they even agree my weight is a bit off) so it makes it a lot more difficult to keep in shape now.
...I'm all kinds of fucked up. :)

Maybe you think they're attacking a body acceptance movement? No. They're just satirizing the "tumblrsphere" people. People are calling them "body shammers", but in reality they're just doing the same thing that the campaing that photoshopped video game characters did.

Intent and impact are not the same thing. It may be satire, but it's obviously not going to come across that way to everyone...

Wow, he made it worse imo.

This picture of rebel wilson caught me off guard.
If there is anything to be said about this movement, it's that a lot of these "overweight" and "fat acceptance" women actually look more attractive when they are thinner. Although they made her a bit TOO thin there, but that's not the point.

That's literally the bullshit about this though, they may look more attractive to you but who the fuck cares? Certainly the most important thing about how you look is first how YOU yourself feel about yourself. Why should these fat and ugly women give a siiiiiiiiiingle fuck what you think, or what some malicious internet campaign thinks they would look better as?

Because one of the driving forces of fat acceptance is trying to convince people that you're obese and yet soooo beautiful~~
It takes a shit on the very definition of beauty and on actually/conventionally beautiful people

Beauty is subjective you ignorant twit.
Beauty is subjective you ignorant twit.
"Actually" beautiful people... holy fuck. Thank you for quoting him just so I can see that gem.
Can't believe people like that exist.
Beauty is subjective you ignorant twit.
Therefore you can't claim that being obese is beautiful. On top of that, beauty has some objective parts.

I never made that claim. Who the fuck are you responding to?

We are programmed to find certain traits (both bodily and facial) beautiful, for the purpose of finding an ideal mate
On top of that, being obese is inherently not beautiful (the term "chubby chaser" would simply not exist if it was)
I never made that claim, who the fuck are you responding to.
I meant "they" instead of "you".
Beauty is not an objective thing at all. Attraction in relation to reproduction and biology can indeed be objective. But I do not find a rose beautiful for it's child-bearing hips.
that's just silly semantics
you know what I meant, and that's exactly what they mean when they try to convince someone of their beauty
Beauty is not an objective thing at all. Attraction in relation to reproduction and biology can indeed be objective. But I do not find a rose beautiful for it's child-bearing hips.
There are some aspects of beauty that are objective, like symmetry.
There are some aspects of beuty that are objective, like symmetry.
Attraction =/= Beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder if you wanna get cheesy.
These women aren't screaming "Why does no body reproduce with me!!" the tragedy or struggle is that these people's outward identities are constructed based on their appearance and regardless if they are happy or not with it there are people that exist who will remind them that whatever happiness they have is invalid because they are not a certain way. This isn't an exclusive struggle to fat or ugly people as we've discussed, this is just people shitting on people because they are different.
Therefore you can't claim that being obese is beautiful. On top of that, beauty has some objective parts.
Also can't claim it's ugly either.
If they were beautiful, they would also be universally admired, no?
y'know, like models of almost every kind
fat shaming would either not exist or be a problem of jealousy/envy
which it quite clearly isn't
Your understanding of human attractiveness is erroneous. The primal sorts of things we find attractive through our own research is not type of person you are describing as beautiful. Being extremely thin and skinny and lacking any muscular architecture is actually unhealthy for surviving in general.
With colder temperatures, being hairless is a detriment as well, there was a period of human history not so long ago called the Renaissance where beings of a reasonable larger size were found more attractive because they were perceived as having moral pureness and were wealthy enough to afford larger quantities of food. Attraction nowadays is more a societal norm than it is a biological drive. There is very little natural selection in presence on today's population compared to the past of our species where the things you are describing actually contributed towards health.
Being skinny in today's world stands for something else, it's for showing restraint in the presence of overabundance, something many people find attractive. Other features than people find attractive are merely subjective characteristics of the face and eyes, and other parts of the body that offer no advantage or reasonable purpose to be found attractive, they are just the decaying remnants of our past drives. Intelligence has more to do with your chance of survival than anything else in today's society, when why you will see women date older men even if they are "dogshit ugly" by your standards because they possess a lot of wealth and that has a tendency to be earned through intelligence and/or hard work. Technology has separated us from our primal necessities.
If anything today's men and women are the least biologically adapted to survive in the growing harshness of our surroundings. If you don't understand that beauty is subjective and any sort of body type could be found beautiful to any particular person then I don't think you understand the subject at all.

Are you serious?
I'm 100% certain you're the only one who thinks this way
when looking at someone thin and attractive I've never, ever had that thought run through my head
