South Korea has a better military than North Lorea FYI.
True, but with the friction of war plus the threat of North Korean special forces it might not be easy for the ROKA to gain victory in a future war.
Seoul is one of the most populated areas of the world ( 8th most populated urban center ) and basically NK can start firing their big ass soviet long range artillery on the city imediatley after the invasion. NK has no regard for human life or whatshowever. The civilian casualties will range into the millions withing a few hours. And as batshit insane Kim Jong Il is, he might consider to live test a nuclear bomb making it about the biggest civilian slaughter ever.
Korean War II.
America will be there I bet.
There already American troops in South Korea. So America will be in the Korean war when it starts.
Korean War II: Payback Time
Why doesn't South Korea just, I don't know, MOVE THE FUCKING CAPITAL. That way IF they ever went to War with N. Korea they wouldn't get buttfucked overnight.
Ahah, just move the worlds 8th largest city. Of Course!!!

Does that sign on the top right say kimchi???
Oh sweet, if there's going to be a second Korean War, I hope Canada goes to help the South, 'cause I'll be there with fucking bells on.
The US might. They just might.
How would the US not be involved when it's us the North Koreans would be attacking along with South Korea? There is a US division stationed in South Korea, and US troops patrol the DMZ.
For everyone saying this will be the Second Korean War: since the First Korean War never officially ended, this will just be a continuation.
Where the hell did you get that figure? Is North Korea some how going to institute an unbelievable bombing campaign across the entirety of South Korea? Are they going to somehow have functioning nuclear weaponry that can actually get through the South Korean defense grid? How the hell would it reach millions in a few hours? The Vietnam war is the longest war in U.S. history and coalition forces barely broke 300,000. Oppositions forces lost just over a million. What the hell would North and South Korea be fighting with?
The population of Seoul is over 10 million. North Korean artillery batterys ,most not even 40 miles from Seoul, have the ability to fire as many 500,00 rounds per hour. Along with 500 to 600 scuds many of which are capable of carrying chemical weapons. These are 2003 statistics so you have to add in what has been 7 years of steady technological arms build up by NK.
N.K is a shit hole of a country.
So how come everyone seems to think a war is imminent? It's not the first time something like this has happened, nobody I know in the Korean military seems worried about it.
This whole thing kinda reminds me of all the pre-WWII bullshit.
Hitler takes another country, gets a slap on the wrist.

Sinking a ship, invading 2 countries, same thing.
Sinking a ship, invading 2 countries, same thing.
It's on a smaller scale, but killing people is killing people. Besides, when has sinking another country's ship NOT been an act of war?

When both countries are already at war, and when they've been attacking eachothers ships for about a decade with no repercussions?
NK should remember once it declares war on SK, nearly every major power in the world is going to point their guns directly at their relatively tiny nation.
Even their glorious leader couldn't save them.
About fucking time. I hope SKorea gets to have NKorea as a vassal state.
Missile Defense Systems won't stop Artillery.
Beat me to it.
Unless they take out that artillery in a pre-emptive strike, they're done if they try anything.

North Korea's air force is a joke, but their Soviet-style SAM network isn't.

Glorious leader Kim Jong Il cannot be defeated!
irrelevant
the WTC bombing was in 1993.. 8 years later 9/11 happened. These are complex attacks that take years and years of training and preparation.
they're still a threat. they've proven that with the attacks they've carried out.
Lol, did you just forget all the other attacks?
1992
1993
1996(failed)
1998
2000
2001
Ever since 2001 no successful attack has occurred on American soil, all the ones now are "A big surprise" or something that will outdo 9/11 etc. Al-Qaeda is not what it used to be anymore, they're weak. All they can do is deliver veiled threat, you know that.
This won't come through. North Korea is simply pomp and fluff, but lacks any backbone whatsoever to return to a full-fledged war like the Korean War. I also highly doubt China would back them if blows came to blows, since North Korea is being an aggressor individually and not by China's consent.
They'd be pretty much fighting it alone if they ended the ceasefire.

It's a Linelor joke.
If theres a slim chance these two meet in the World Cup, damn that game will be interesting.
What the hell is North Korea and South Korea's problem? Other than each other, I mean.

NK is being an asshat to everyone else to the world.
Come one north korea just invade them already. I want to see some super awesome apache nightvision hellfire missle footage on liveleak.
*Ah don't dumb me down, it will be pretty cool.
Bring it Motherfucker
This. NK is so far behind it's not even funny.

Yes, but you have to ask yourself: will this be the straw that broke the camels back?
