Seeing how South Korea hasn't mobilised any large amount of it's army, i'd say no
Doesn't even seem to be any huge anti North Korea demonstrations at the moment or anything in the south. When the US army accidentally killed 2 south korean schoolgirls in 2002 the reaction was much worse.

No. They already have ruled out military action.
Keep up with the news.

Did I mention military action? No. Stop being so damn presumptuous.

Then what is this 'broken back' analogy.

If a mental patient or a known violent offender kills someone, it's not really news. If a cop or a politician kills someone, it's obviously going to be big news. It's a double standard but we are at war with NK and we are supposed to be on SKs side.

There are plenty of other retaliatory paths to take: political pressure, economic sanctions (which is most likely), etc.

But you was questioning a guy who said War was unlikely.
Who had a load of examples where war didn't break out.
Then you said this is could be the final provocative action.
You made a dud post, it's not a big deal, stop trying to over justify :v:
There are plenty of other retaliatory paths to take: political pressure, economic sanctions (which is most likely), etc.
They've been doing that for ages. There is no new political pressure they can put on and the only kind of sanction left is placing a giant dome over them. This isn't any kind of back-breaking straw, just another one on the pile.

Keep up with the news.
This has been happening for years.

No, really? I didn't know that at all. [/sarcasm]
Korean War II.
America will be there I bet.
Please.. For the sake of sanity... Pay attention in school.
North koreans are just assholes. They attacked and all they do is shake their goddamn legs. South Korea should do something.

Its not as simple as that.
i'd like to know why some of you tards think nk will use nukes. That'd be like dropping a nuke into your next-door-neighbor's yard. It'd damage them just as badly from fallout, and china would steamroll them.
hey mr i played fallout 1, 2 and three i think i know a little more about nuclear war than you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's like people think of SK as a little child, and which daddy country is going to step in for them. SK has a very large and vastly advanced military.
North Korea are bunch of trolls. Why do we still put up with their shit for so long?
Take a look at Vietnam and Germany. They were once separated but are now united. '
You people will say China is selfish because they will never allow Korea to be united.
hey mr i played fallout 1, 2 and three i think i know a little more about nuclear war than you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ya man! wat we do, is we shove all sk people into vaults, then glass the peninsula
NK should remember once it declares war on SK, nearly every major power in the world is going to point their guns directly at their relatively tiny nation.
Even their glorious leader couldn't save them.
It already has declared war.
You're about 60 years late.
Millions of South Koreans will still die you toolbag
This is the main problem.
NK may be weak compared to the rest of the world, but they can steamroll over SK. By the time UN forces arrive, it'll be too late. SK will either have lost millions to genocides or become a nuclear wasteland by then.

*If NK violates their cease-fire agreement, then their fucked.
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF NORTH KOREA'S SHIT
Goddamn.

Isn't that the theory of military experts, though? That North Korea would have Seoul taken over in a matter of hours if all out war ever broke out?
I've been reading the wiki article on Korea as a whole, and wow south korea has a large reserve army.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_troops
Their main and reserve army, plus the US and other allied armies, we already know who'd win this one.

Should I be on the edge of my seat? I'm confident nothing will happen but there is always the possibility.
Not so-smart by the NK to do this.
Why can't we have a collapse of the North Korean government like East Germany
Let's just bomb their power plants. They already suffer from insufficient power. May as well just make the problem worse. Casualties are minimal, but the cost to repair is high and it can cripple morale.
If it continues, salt their fields with aircraft.
It would also start a war. But frankly a million NK soldiers just isn't that threatening with their level of technology. Particularly when they have to fight hungry and in the dark.
I'm just over North Korea. They will eventually get nukes and their current leader is actually insane enough to use one. It would be okay if it looked like the people were revving up for a revolution. But revolution is nearly impossible because the people are starving brainwashed peasants who rarely even have electricity much less any form of communication from outside their nation. Not only can they not help themselves because of their fucked up government, but outside powers can't help either because they have been brainwashed into fearing and hating them with a passion. This leaves few options for dealing with North Korea.

because it would make the Great Leader angry.

They already have nuclear capability.
If you bomb their power plants, they will flatten Seoul. No one can touch North Korea because they always have South Korea by the balls.
North Korea is going to get FUCKED up. Imagine how many missiles are pointed at it right now
