F-35's aren't even being mass produced yet, and I doubt A-10's would venture more than 70-100 miles past the 38th Parallel
The Problem with B-2's is they need a climate controlled hanger, and we have 21 or so, 19 of which are based in Missouri at Whiteman... They can take off from there, refuel over the pacific, hit around 330 NK Targets, and fly back.. But that's 330 targets per 24 hours... Not enough
The F-22 can drop JDAMs and hit targets from many many many miles out because of the altitude and speed it can travel.. and can mount exterior pylons for extra ordinance and jettison them when no longer needed to become nearly invisible (Or completely invisible in NK's case) to radar
You'll have B-2's, F-22's, F-18's from a couple carrier groups just pounding the shit out of NK while A-10's, Drones and C-130's, F-16's stick around the 38th, with massive troop buildups there as well, Naval forces from multiple countries surrounding the entire peninsula, And that's about it
The big problem affecting all American forces ever since their focus on contingency operations is that all of this takes a long time to deploy into the theater. Remember Desert Storm? The North Koreans aren't going to wait for American reinforcements to fly in from Japan, Hawaii and the continental US before they attack in a war scenario.
Actually the F-15E removes the need for the F-111. Which is one of the major reasons we retired it.
F-15 is a ground attack variant with an electronic warfare package.
Even if the F-15E has an electronic warfare package, the USAF still needs a dedicated jammer aircraft as demonstrated by their use of the Navy's EA-6Bs.
I'm sorry but the last attack was almost 10 years ago. All the others today are now horribly planned, or just simple failures.
Also including the annual 'threat' which Osama never delivers.
Most of that shit is set up by the US government. You know that right? As long as your government keeps you scared/focused on 'terrorists', they can sneak in their own bullshit, like gun control, raise taxes, and skim off more rights.

oh lawdy the government is out to get us.

the government is an omniscient, omnipotent entity with an insatiable thirst for tears!
everybody panic!
I don't think anybody remembers the fact that there are several US military bases along the DMZ, accompanied by copious of ground attack aircraft, including but not limited to A-10s. In the event of a SHTF situation. We could invade/ defend and wait for reinforcements a few hours later from the states. First airborne would come in, then everybody else. It wouldn't be hard, because like Gunfox said, they have a pretty shit military.

lol
is that what beck and limbaugh told you
I don't think some people understand the fact that North and South are on what amounts to permanent hair-trigger alert all along the DMZ. If NK attempts any sort of build at the DMZ up we'll see it coming mobilize, same goes for the reverse. Basically the DMZ is going to turn into a giant cluster-fuck if anyone tries anything until NATO forces get in Theater or China decides to help NK, Until ether happens both North and South are perfectly capable of fighting each other to a standstill.

That too.
Kim John Ill is very good at coolfaces.
To the people saying it would take us too long to mobilize..
We have a buildup of troops on the 38th parallel. We have thousands of marines ready to go at Okinawa, and we can have a carrier group there in a few hours. Nothings going to happen though, just more political dick waving by NK.

Think more along the lines of a few months, not hours. Who knows how that would affect the war though, SK has a pretty big standing army to fight off the North, who knows, maybe the South Koreans could gain ground on their own.

They said the same about Yugoslavia...

By the End of the 3 month bombing campaign they managed to also take down 2 more Stealth Fighters, with only one being officially acknowledged, with the third simply having a emergency landing in Bosnia simply being a 'coincidence' and completely due to 'undisclosed reasons' all with Radar designed in the 1970s with a soviet missile system made in 1963 all after Nato put out a memo to all Pilots that said missile system is obsolete and not even worth the Anti-Radiation missile to take them out

Well, the success of American air power during Desert Storm created this myth that's still around today that the United States Air Force is an invincible fleet of airplanes that only god can shoot down.
Still Even if SK and US managed to invade NK, there will surely be viet cong style/ taliban style ambush. IEDS, mortars, or RPGs. Surely there will be resistance group everywhere for every piece of land the allied forces capture.

They don't have IEDs everywhere... They do have statues that turn into tank traps.
We shoudl just use the nukes on them!!1
Wouldn't NK actually starting the war they declared years ago be total political suicide?

They shot over 700 surface to air missiles at US warplanes.
They managed to shoot down one nighthawk and one F-16. They didn't manage to capture either pilot.
They only even managed to shoot down the F-117 because it was raining and the old RADAR absorbing coating on the nighthawk didn't work when wet.
We were even using A-10's in the campaign. How the fuck do you miss an A-10.
They also launched a number of Mig-29's all of which either failed due to mechanical problems or were shot down by F-15's. Keeping in mind that the mig-29 was designed from the ground up to counter the F-15, this is pretty damn funny.
The nighthawk is a pitiful shadow of modern stealth tech.
In short they actually are nearly invincible vs surface to air fire.

On another note, it would be pretty damn funny seeing old F-15As going up against Su-27s. Those Serb MiG-29s were old original models that were no match for upgraded F-15Cs.
Right, we'll see how invincible US air power will be in the next conflict where American adversaries are packing modern SAM systems. Since there hasn't been a modern conflict fought on parity for years, you can't really draw any conclusions outside of frictionless test models and your own predictions.

Sure I can. Modern SAM's still use ground based targeting and stream data to the missiles.
Which doesn't work vs stealth aircraft. Much less advanced ECM systems.
But realistically the only people who have cutting edge SAM systems are also the same people with nuclear missiles. With MAD and all that jazz, a conflict just wouldn't happen.
Modern SAM's are so stupidly ineffective, that I'm not even sure we still have a tracked or wheeled SAM launching system outside of the avenger or linebacker. Both of which use stingers and are designed to counter helicopters.

but are they packing more heat then us already?
