The video game industry has sucked ever since halo 2 and maybe a bit before that.
What's the difference between todays games and ysterdays games? quality.
How long would it take you to be COD4? How long did it take you to beat ocarina of time? exactly.
Games have been getting worse and worse and costing more and more just so EGAY, Noobisoft, and fagtivision could increase the number of games they sell a year. You know who has failed to disappoint me in my entire life? Nintendo. Sure they have made/produced a few shitty games, but it's not like they were just shitting a game out, giving it "Ub0r c00l" graphics, and calling it good. Mario is an original concept and though it seems like they're whoring for money from nintendo fanboys, at least the games are fucking GOOD. The legend of zelda games bring something new to each new game (time travel, seasons, songs, etc.) while remaining that fucking amazing puzzle-fighter game.
You know who WAS pretty cool? Valve. Half-life was an epic puzzle(ish) shooter with a gripping story-line. Counter-strike was a semi-tactical shooter with an awesome idea for hostages, bomb-defusing, and buy menus. Day of defeat was the only World war 2 shooter I ever liked, and team fortress was fucking hardcore action. Left 4 dead: Shoot guys.
Left 4 dead 2: Shoot guys with more guns. Video games have been getting less and less original and appeal more and more to people who just got back from working out and playing football and wearing their baseball hats backwards.
Face it. Video games are dead
Offlien mode has never worked for me.
Why don't they just use Steam?
Steam has been cracked
EGAY, Noobisoft, and fagtivision
Holy shit, you're cool.
Nobody wants to play a long ass FPS. Know what the difference between CoD4 and Zelda is? One is an RPG, the other is an FPS. Fallout 3 is probably longer than Zelda.
Also, Ocarina of Time sucks assholes by today's standards. That means, if anything, quality is improving. The only people who think otherwise are those people still stuck in the 80's, mindlessly rebelling against any change.
Don't make me laugh, their DRM is just as easy to crack as any other.
Until DRM is removed and game prices lower piracy is just going to continue growing.
Hey dumb ass, if it is so easy to crack then why hasn't it been done yet?
Steam has been cracked
This.
A long time ago, too.

It has limitations that make it unplayable, such as not saving, not playing for any more than 20 minutes at a time.
No thanks.
It's cracked. About a week ago a server emulator was released, with which you can type whatever you want in the login box. I'd post a link but I'd get banned. v:v:v
Also, it's fully playable, unlike the previous cracks.
Okay.
Hey dumb ass, if it is so easy to crack then why hasn't it been done yet?
If it's so impossible to crack, why was I just playing my retail of assassin's creed 2 on my pc, which had no internet at the time?
Steam has been cracked
Do they still get the updates?

I know you're new here, but what you just posted is considered to be warez.
What's the point of this? The pirates will just crack it within the hour, Regardless of how much it "Evolves and Improves"

Took the pirate a lot longer than an hour to crack AC2, forcing many people to buy it out of anticipation. It works.
It's kinda funny how other Publishers are trying to make decent DRMs and failing while Steam has little to no issues. Either Steam is exceptionally well done or other Publishers aren't even trying to make something user friendly.
Steam games are just as easily pirated, it's just that the files are encrypted before the release date so there's never any pre-release torrents.

Now that is has been cracked, subsequent releases will be easier, unless they drastically change the system for every game. The cracking system involves running a webserver, which emulates the Ubisoft DRM servers and sends packets to verify the game every now and then. To get this to work, the crackers need to play through the game and record all the server packets though. So it'll probably take more than one day to crack, but it's doable. Might be a bit too complex for the average user though.
DRM has been proven to be extremely futile. In fact, it will kill the gaming industry not because the DRM is invasive. But because the paying customer has to go through more trouble, and more privacy invasion because the company is trying to compensate and trying to minimize the rampant pirating that is already occurring.
So have them think that their DRM will be bigger, better, stronger, pirate proof, and whatever else they can daydream that it will be. It will be like their last DRM version, and like everyone elses. Another slap in the face to them, and their paying customers. Because the pirates will yet again have an upper hand, because they don't have to go through the hassles and inconvenience that their customer has to experience from the day they install the game, till the day that customer just pirates the same game.
Only actual DRM piece out there that has been proven to be friendly with its customers is infact steam. Even though, it can be a handful of shit.

You're dumb, just because you don't like games doesn't mean they're getting WORSE
It's the same problem with Kid shows, everyone on FP is all "Oh my god why did they take away Rugrats, they're just making such shit shows, TV sucks!" But it isn't that they make shittier shows, it's that you aren't their target audience, or that you grew up or something. It's the same way with games, and it's the same way with lot's of things, but all in all you have to realize that things change, and you can't be expecting the companies to adhere to YOUR wishes.
Trackmania 2? What the fuck when did they get publishing rights for that FUUCKK :argh:

While I agree that Nintendo have been consistent with their games, I don't think Valve's awesomeness has diminished. The Half-Life series hasn't even finished yet.

I don't play L4D/2 since I bought BC2 but I can't tell if you have actually played it. L4D/2 is so much more than just shooting guys. You been living under a rock or something? CS/DOD/TF are mods that evolved into something bigger, they're not company ideas.
I guess the only good solution for singleplayergames will be to buy it, install it and then put the crack over it.
We can make it stronger, faster, BETTER
There goes my promise to buy Trackmania 2.
wat

Now we wait for the newly formed company from Infinity Ward to create IWNet DRM in singleplayer games.

I can't even play AC2 because of this horseshit. If anything, they won't gain enough profit from this.

The whole point of that game was co-op, it's enjoyable for anyone if you play with buds.
No friends = Don't buy.

Video games are like every other popular media.
It gets popular and then buried in shit by companies who like to appeal to a majority with no taste. However, in all forms of media suffering through this the true artist have always released some damn good content. Quit bitching.
ive bought games with drm on them and havent had any problems, and ive played and installed them on multiple pc's as well.
Well, at least i got a fee game when their service went down...
