I love how in the trailer they don't say a damn thing about it costing you until the very end. Even then it's just in text.
The game might as well be pay to play, unless they manage to not add any weapons or anything that won't be OP against those without the service.
Of COURSE they won't add pay-only weapons to a supposedly competitive-multiplayer game, that would be ridiculous.
Of COURSE they won't add pay-only weapons to a supposedly competitive-multiplayer game, that would be ridiculous.
Oh, of course not. Activision would never do something that would earn them money. Silly me for thinking they would do that.
It's not milking when people enjoy it. And they wouldn't buy it if they didn't.
Wow, a "Call of Duty: Elite" that you have to pay to pay to play + map packs sounds like a really bad joke that would be used as an insult towards CoD, except Activision is taking that awful joke and making it a reality. Related: :signings:
I miss the bad reading rating sometimes. :smith:
Ughh.. Double rainbow, how current. And could companies STOP PROMOTING SOCIAL NETWORKING Holy fucking shit, it seems like everyone is trying to get in on social networking lately. IT'S A SOCIAL NETWORK FULL OF PEOPLE WHO PLAY CALL OF DUTY OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT INTRODUCING THE SOCIAL CURRENCY FROM CHASE DUR DUR DURR WHEN YOU NEED A PAINTER, ALWAYS RELY ON SOCIAL NETWORKS LSKDJGLSKGS Can we ditch the trend of making fucking EVERYTHING social? When I get a headshot in Call of Duty, I don't need all my friends to fucking know. When I visit the mall and my phone's GPS is enabled, I DONT NEED PEOPLE KNOWING IM AT THE MALL It's like EVERYTHING has to be interconnected nowadays, I wish social networking could just fuck off and we could go back to using telephones and knocking on doors, it's sooo fucking annoying. Sorry for the rant but jesus christ, I hate that.
The concept of it is good, but I don't like the idea of paying a monthly fee for it.
I can't wait for them to fill the information sections for the weapons full of either: Poorly informed bullshit they made up half of, or Copy pasted stuff straight from wikipedia. At least if they just copy paste it from wikipedia then it won't be wrong, but i think they might be overestimating the people who play call of duty if they think people are actually going to read that stuff.

He's good at it, and I would LOVE it if he got a job doing what he does.

People said this was going to happen in MW2. People said this was going to happen in Black Ops. Maybe the trend will continue.
People said this was going to happen in MW2. People said this was going to happen in Black Ops. Maybe the trend will continue.
The difference is that they are now advertising it, genius. There's quite a big difference between rumors and confirmation.
Come on Activision, isn't Xbox Live enough? I'm already paying 20$ a month to keep my gold membership.
They should have the guy who does XboxAhoy do the research. He's good at it, and I would LOVE it if he got a job doing what he does.
Then they'd have to pay him. If Activision are so money hungry, then why would they pay money for valid information when they can just make it up or steal shit off the internet for free?
Wait, so its not a game? Its an online service that allows matchmaking and a bunch of other stuff? That you have to pay a subscription for if you want full features? While I dislike jumping on the CoD hate bandwagon, I think I'll pass. Also, as I think at least a few of you just skipped reading and posted "lol another CoD game", I'll reiterate that what they're going to be charging for isn't even a game, its a service. Which is worse.
I miss the bad reading rating sometimes. :smith:
Glad we still have this one: :irony: Works well for you.
thank jesus for BF3 i only bought COD because i wanted a fun arcadey shooter that had a living multiplayer now that it's fully down the drain i'm done

this video should have remained a picture
All the stuff described in the video should be free
Glad we still have this one: :irony: Works well for you.
the :irony: of the fact that YOU just used :irony: is so :irony:ic i cant even begin to describe
The idea of the service is fine, but the idea that they want to charge for some of those features isn't.
