I actually mentioned this to some 'bro gamer' sorts when it was just a rumour following Black Ops' release. They said they definitely wouldn't pay a subscription fee and would just play the previous game. Now waiting for them to shut down the servers for MW2 when they hear of this plan.

Activision has the best business and marketing models. Make a game at a low cost, sell it for sixty, add shitloads of useless expansions and extra services, and rake in the cash. It's fucking perfect.

So I'm paying for over-glorified statistics and an extra $15 for the latest map pack? :signings:

To be honest it kind of makes sense for there to be a monthly fee attached to a game people still play several months after release. Is CoD really all that different from MMOs like WoW?

Modern Warfare 3 is just another desert combat game. I wish the US could move their way out of the Middle East and go invade an alternate dimension, maybe then the popular games will become somewhat interesting.

Ugh, I don't even know why Call of Duty fans are even going to bother with the next one, it has obviously been rushed and nearly every asset, including the story, has been reused. Just the trailer alone shows that it is nothing but a copy-paste version of MW2. At least Black Ops had a different look, and different playstyle slightly. And this... I don't even know where to begin with this.

Activision is basically FUCKING the consumer in the ass. But of course people will get Elite. Now they can say they are "SUPAH ELITE CUS I SPENT MONEY ON DIS NEW COD THINGY" :sigh: Its sad how Call Of Duty went from a nice little World War game to a "NOOB TOOBE AND NO SCOP UNREALISTIC AND UNFUN GAME" If i could go back in time. Id stop Call Of Duty at Call Of Duty 4. Its just to much. But there will be more Modern Warfare's till Activision can buy time and space.
