Nick says all the goofy stuff is still there.
Dead Rising can die with the xbone if this is the case.
Dead Rising 1 was one of my favorite games of all time, and I love how it never took itself seriously. Seriously capcom...how can you be this out of touch with dead rising's target market (I guess old target market now.)
I'm starting to see why people are saying "Call of duty ruined gaming"
Developers are trying to sell more and more by targeting a large audience from something very profitable.

Looks like it'd be good for like, twenty bucks.
That part where he called artillery at the end was the most fucking moronic thing I have ever seen.
I'M ALL ALONE IN THE CITY FILLED WITH ZOMBIES
OH SHIT I'M SURROUNDED
BETTER RUN TO MY TABLET/WINDOWS 8 COMPUTER AND CALL A FUCKING BOMBING RUN
It is really a shame, I loved dead rising because it was colorful, funny, and over the top type zombie game. It was really one you could enjoy because they managed to take the typical hold up in a mall in a mall scenario and made it fun.
This game looks way to dark and serious to be a dead rising title. Fucking shame.
There was a very meh-at-best port to iOS, and that was it.
There was a Wii version too :v:
There was a Wii version too :v:
No there wasn't
That game was Dead Rising in title only. Can't even truthfully be called a Wii "version" because it's a completely different game.
Devils advocate here, Dead Rising 2 Started with case Zero and honestly it's not really a million miles from that on the face of it.
Wait till the game comes out before you write it off, Airstrikes can fuck off though.

Pretty sure the Wii version has less zombies at once than the iOS version.
I think I remember hearing the Wii version started life as a Dead Rising themed hack of the Wii Version of Resident Evil 4. Capcom supposedly bought the rights to it because I guess it seemed like a good idea.

Now, didn't the guy showing off the game just say that they wanted a contrast between the dark side and the humour, with the possibility of making the darkness more ridiculous? Didn't I just post a video of how DR2 did that?
This direction of this game is now so warped.

10 bucks we're getting a 3.5 multiplatform.
Honestly the game looks fun, kinda sucks they're dumbing down some of it though.

So, according to the devguy they made the artstyle more gritty to make the comedy moments even more rememberable?
They supposedly wanted to have a more dark sort of slapstick humor.

So it would be like having a Saints Row character in GTA 4
Could work, silly humour in a serious world might be really fucking hilarious for all we know

Isn't this actually more or less how Dead Rising did it? It took itself quite seriously at times.

Kinda but the graphics were way more colorful and cheery so any serious scene just went to the toilet
Especially when you are giving your ill child her medicine while dressed as a dinosaur in a banana hammock
EDIT
Cant't forget the silly mall music being played at ALL times
