Peace is for hippies and communists.
It'll probably be something like the Cold War.
Ironic, because I already commpared the war in Iraq or Pakistan to another nam, just in the desert.
America has constantly been at war since WWII. As far as I see it, they are at the end of the path. So much of their economy is based back to military spending. One study said nearly any part of the economy can be brought back to the military.
This is why Washington was the best president, he started an isolationist precedent with his farewell address which by and large stood until World War I. We need to get back to our isolationist roots. Global Trading is fine, complex alliances and conflicts are not.
His solution: The U.S. should stop deploying a "global occupation force" and focus on nation-building at home.
I agree on this. We should stop being the world police and jump into all the countries in trouble. We get enough shit we have been neglecting in America.
We should just build the US up to a REAL Super Power.
Yea were in perma war
and rape is feeding the poor
that analogy would make sense if rape and your income status had anything to do with each other
when war is obviously related to peace in a sense that if there isn't war going on there is peace vice versa
not if everyone is being raped, the poor is going to be overweight.
It's still not a damn war, as the US did not wish to eliminate the entire country, nor did the congress officially announce a war, it was just trying to stop communism's advance and spread, as you've said. Therefore it is an invalid example to be brought up when I said this
That's because they didn't legally have to.

Not isolationist. Just non-interventionist.
"We've always been at war with Eastasia"
Remember, to us Americans, plans are for the weak. To quote a famous American philosopher, Mike Tyson, "All my enemies have plans. Right till I hit 'em in the face."
The whole 'permanent war' thing reminds me of George Orwell's 1984. Isn't that the case in that?
War is peace.
Greed is peace.
If there was no war, you wouldn't know what peace is.

End of what path and why? Also:
One study said nearly any part of the economy can be brought back to the military.
What does this mean?

It doesnt work the same as it did before, now the military gets its products from a few huges companies instead of a lot of little ones so it doesnt help nearly as much.
Always been... USA is like the Teenage misfit whore girl that has to butt in everywhere and no one likes. Oh, and everyone talks behind her back because she's fat and actually a third-world country in disguise.
The USA is destroying itself anyway.
I sure as hell hope not.
