We should get rid of Schleswig-Holstein, nothing good comes from there anyway.
Give it back to Denmark

The thing that disturbs me the most is when I go there, it says:
No interest categories are associated with your ads preferences so far.
Really, Google can't figure out what I like? I think I've been fairly honest about it.

It says the same thing for me but that might be because of Adblock Plus.

So accurate it's scary(!)
This is just Schleswig-Holstein, not the whole of Germany guys...
And then Germany understands nothing about the Internet
...Again.
I support privacy on the internet, but when you click 'Like', you're intending to let other people know you like it. It's not supposed to be private in any way.
It's how Facebook handles this information without users knowing about it (marketing purposes, which could be and has been abused) that makes it a threat to users privacy.

This will most likely make many german website owners change their hoster other countries.

Aren't there 2 big server centers?
However this whole thing will probably have followers.
This is brilliant. A country actually taking a stand for web privacy and user rights.
No, this is fucking stupid. Nobody is forcing you to click a Like button. This is just fucking retarded.

Read the thread. It tracks you even if you do not click it.

changing your host is often times a pain
Facebook collected some useless information about you. What information are they going to get from a like button?
From now on, Liking is verboten.

Facebook sells what your interests are to marketing companies, you get covered in barely relevant spam.
This is why I always log out of my facebook. Don't want to accidentally click a like button on a porn site or something. :tinfoil:
Making it illegal is taking it way too far though, people can voluntarily choose whether to use facebook or not.
What a shame.
Thats why you don't use facebook.
Do advertisers actually think that people are effected by their internet advertisements, I don't know about any of you but I have never actually been swayed by an internet advertisement. Probably because It's never relevant... Ever

How do they determine which site's are "from Schleswig-Holstein" though?
If it's by the servers being located there, they could just relocate them to a neighbouring Bundesland. (like Hamburg or Niedersachsen [aka Lower Saxony])

Why does that matter? Adblock seems to deal with Ads on Facebook. And I haven't gotten that much spam. Maybe one spam e-mail ever other day. I doubt that spam is even because of Facebook. It seems like regular spam.

those that are most affected by advertisements are those that believe they have no effect
Guess they're going back to "Become a fan"
A more effective approach would be to require everyone to install Adblock.
Dont click if German
