Apple trademarks their store layout, specifically maple tables and bookshelves.

Jokes. But to be honest I never went into their stores before. As Roca said it's kind of silly, but I don't see it as such a huge deal.
What's next? Trademarking the colour white?
This is so fucking sensationalist, they're trademarking the layouts of their stores, not the actual tables and shelves
Why is the layout of a store able to be copyright material?
Every apple store I've been to smells like nasty neck beard BO
"Hey guys the title is slightly exaggerated let's all complain about that instead of complaining about the fact that apple is patenting their furniture arrangement"
Why is the layout of a store able to be copyright material?
it's not. it's being trademarked.
You know things are bad when you can patent mediocrity.
Hopefully this new title is a bit less egregious.
I think what this really boils down to is trying to shut down the fake Apple stores in China.
Besides, I wish the minimalist hipster bullshit layout WOULD be exclusive to Apple. As a previous poster said, it's completely sterile and laid out as if it say "We sell five items, pick one, buy it, and GTFO".
Wonder if they'll patent having two sales reps on the floor for every customer...
That's our tree, motherfucker.
Keep your Californian fingers off it.
How many people actually try to copy the Apple Store design besides chinese outlets selling Apple knock-offs? It's minimalist but horribly sterile. Makes you feel like "you're only here for one thing bitch. Buy it and leave."
ive seen windows stores do something similar
Looks like the Sony store next to the Apple store at Roosevelt Field needs to rethink its strategy :v:
FP doesn't have an excuse to be that lazy.
How about how half the major news sites linked have badly coded pages that can literally freeze browsers, as well as entire machines.
Why does apple have to trademark copyright or paitent somthing stupid like, once a week?.

Pretty much every major company constantly applies for patents - it's not something unique to Apple. It all just comes down to the USPTO accepting or rejecting them.
You just hear about the Apple ones a lot because FP loves to circlejerk over how much they hate Apple.
