Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 And 2 Make Their Way To Current-Gen Consoles Next Week

If you're getting caught up on my use of shill then just focus on the point which is that these games are damn expensive for being so old and so unchanged, and even incomplete. That's not a premium-price product from the sounds of it. It would not be out-of-this-world to kind of be miffed if this was done for other games e.g. Prototype 1 & 2, e.g. Deadpool, e.g. etc.
Please, understand what I mean by shill and consider that this may be the reality for lots of people out there and don't act like you're defending something precious here. We're just talking about games, or at least I am...
$60 for untouched games from 10 and 7 years ago. That's quite expensive, it's not so irrational to think this way.
"Untouched".
Uh, okay. Thats not true but alright fine whatever lets just go with that.
And calling someone a shill is not "meaningless", it literally means "an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others" and that is literally like what that post was. Did you know what shill meant prior to this reply?
Meaningless drivel is all im reading. You're just calling him a shill without actually explaining why he's in the wrong.

However you gotta justify the state that these games are allegedly in. I can't comment on them personally, but people on these forums and in other internet-spaces are less than pleased.

What....? Dude, just stick to the topic.

Not unchanged, for one.
Second, MUA2 has all of its DLC, the likely reason MUA1 doesnt is because of the complicated rights issues at the time related to many of Marvels characters potentially still being an issue with how that games roster was handled.

Unless they're blatantly being shills, dont call people shills, bro, it makes you look like an asshole.

Because they managed to fuck up the UI to the point where you cant customize controls or graphics options, MUA1 is missing DLC, and they somehow caused odd bugs to occur.

"This is a total shill"
- You.

the topic is about the port announcement and news surrounding it, calling people shills for liking a game isn't related to the topic. Especially since this game has been pretty well acclaimed over the years.
Even just 2-3 months ago people were discussing the need for ports and remasters of MUA1/2, or an MUA3 in the marvel thread in GD. It's a popular game and the release is related to fan demand. It also got stronger demand when Disney Infinity was discontinued because it was also a heavy roster Marvel beat em up

As a consumer that is definitely not justification for missing content and charging that premium-price. I understand personally that it's complicated and I imagine especially so with a Marvel product, and at least these games are available in some fashion but this is a wet-sandwich of a deal for sure and people seem to agree.
Also, yeah I can understand getting upset by being called a shill, but have some self-awareness. It really wasn't meant as a jab at that guy's soul. Sorry if it upset you or anyone else.

I'll agree that its too pricey, yes, but at least criticize it fairly.
"unchanged" "unfinished" "game (singular)" arent accurate.

Speaking of being unfair, its kind of bullshit how a lot of the reviews on Steam for MUA2 are complaining about the DLC for MUA1.
Sure, if you want to use a different word. It's clearly not unchanged.

Steam reviews aren't known for being logical, especially with Marvel games. I remember Disney Infinity getting Mostly Negative because people downloaded it and could only use a couple characters, somehow not knowing it's a f2p toys2life game.

The game's graphic footprint at max settings is twice again larger than the entire unified memory profile of either the xbox360 or ps3. You haven't the faintest fucking clue.
60$ is too much.
I'm not buying it until 1) it's cheaper. 2) it's not a reportedly buggie game

That's cool and all and I appreciate that but I'm not paying 80$ canadian for that.
I know the PC port has its problems, but does anyone know how the console versions are?
I'm looking to buy it on xbone but I'm gonna pass if its riddled with bugs.

As far as im aware the console versions are perfectly fine, its just specifics related to PC's that are buggy like MUA2's sound getting weird depending on the hardware you got and MUA1's menus and UI being finicky and graphics/controls options being nonexistant (at the moment).
Yeah consoles should be fine
I don't care what anyone says, I'm not paying 40$ for a game that wasn't changed quite as much as it could be for that price
20$, ok I can dig it, that's a good price for something like that. And back in the day I loved this game, it was legit fun. Fuck me even with the connectivity issues and shitty netcode online was a blast.
It still looks like an xbox 360 game. This is no serious sam HD remake, that's for sure.
that's just my take on it though, I don't see why anyone should pay 40$ for a slightly touched up game.
Where does anyone say you should lol
The people arguing are responding to someone saying that it's a total shill to say these games were great

I never said anyone should or implied that anyone did, it was just my opinion on the price from my perspective
Alright it's just the second time someone said that seemingly in reply

I know he's bashing the default controls and I get that, but it seems like he didn't realize he can use his WASD + numpad and it'll be comfortable as hell

to be fair, there are tons of people who don't own a numpad, and he *might* be one of them
[editline]28th July 2016[/editline]
though I mean, it's really made for controllers so
Just watched tb's vid
He asks a lot of easy questions imo
The reason 1-4 keys are bound to attack and jump and use aswell as ctrl+1-4 being powers is because that's how the original game is built
1-4 is obviously Cross/Square/Triangle/Circle, and you had to hold L2 or something to use powers with the same buttons
Also he doesn't mention if launch options or .ini can be used for res and setting options. That's important to me.
Anyways, the options menu having options that don't do anything is hopefully a sign they plan to patch/update.

Thank you!
If anyone's wondering, after playing for a few hours I can confirm the console versions (Xbox at least, but I'd assume the same for PS4) are fine aside from some audio balancing issues.
(which may have been in the original releases, I don't remember.)
