5 years later and there is still amazing stuff coming out for GMod. This looks incredibly fun and useful.
I think...this is the greatest thing (for building) since Stacker. It almost has too much potential!
You think this will have an SVN Repository? Would be a shame if it didn't.
Can't wait to have rotating ship battles that you can walk around in for Spacebuild.

Imagine that! (The ships rotate so much, or so little depending on if they have a combat drive installed. The rolling is to prevent enemy lasers which can pierce shields, from doing significant damage to your specific devices like turrets or intel dishes, etc.)
Holy fuck dick shit cock
Finally, I can create elevators which don't kill me!
Holy shit, now we can make good spaceships!!!
this needs to be updated into the game itself asap
There are a million and one uses for this. Maybe this can breathe new life into Spacebuild. I remember people spending three hours to build a nice, functioning ship, only to ragequit 5 minutes later when they die by a prop spazz and lose it in space.
I demand for this tool to be updated into the game!
I yelled at my screen every time my Garry's Mod-senses says you would otherwise die/fall on the ground. It's so unreal.
Amazing.
Maybe it's me but I can just about imagine Valve noticing this would play a major part in the source engine. It's like as if gravity has been broken and fixed at the same time. The possibilities for doing batshit insane stuff has been twice-folded.

This is the videological embodiment of my thoughts here.

The walking on walls has been done before, but not over multiplayer afaik.
(Biohazard - the guy that did the dynamic lighting in source did it)
Holy shit this is awesome!
I sure hope garry sees this

apparently he already has, now we just wait
This has so much potential, I can't even imagine half the possibilities. Put this baby on, say, a helicopter or plane model that players can enter and viola. Make fake wall-walking stuff for machinima or such with minimal trouble via putting an invisible prop on a wall and posing the model there. Even Rube Goldberg machines can have a lot more potential.
:buddy:
I almost cried out of happiness, until i realized i'll be away tomorrow until Monday. So i'll have to live with the intel extreme graphics! :smith:

If the beta works well, I'll discuss adding it to the game with Garry.

"Now you're thinking with gravity" ?
The addon actually creates an invisible room outside the map, which functions as the interior of your vehicle!
Fascinating how out-of-the-box thinking can get amazing results. I can somewhat imagine how it would work, but trying to comprehend anything technical for something like this boggles my mind :v:
Anyway, I can't wait for this to be a staple in Gmod. One of the largest constraints of the game eliminated makes room for creative ideas that wouldn't be possible otherwise.
:psyboom:
Now we just need the queryphys prop merging and cutting thing for perfect building!
And Garry to officially add these to the game!

I really hope this blows some life into Spacebuild. I've been dying to play that properly with a good amount of players.
Holy shit

Submarines?!

Your submarine would still be filled with water though.
Just turn off the water overlay and underwater sounds whilst in the submarine!

With some fancy-ass Lua magic
Anyone else notice how this is based a little on Valve's techniques for portal 2's intro "Apartment" sequence? Like, creating a separate collision area and just parenting the view to the prop.
