but you're fucking drunk and don't know better
Yes because being drunk makes you want to break into people's houses and threaten 12 and 15 year olds for the hell of it. If that was true, alcohol would still be a banned drug.
Do I really have to repeat myself- [editline]10:32PM[/editline] In fact some states already have the duty to retreat within self-defence- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duty_to_retreat
This doesn't do your point very many favors when you read the text. [release] American law Some American jurisdictions require that a person retreat from an attack, and allow the use of deadly force in self defense only when retreat is not possible or when retreat poses a danger to the person under attack. The duty to retreat is not universal, however. For example, police officers are not required to retreat when acting in the line of duty. Similarly, some courts have found no duty to retreat exists when victim is assaulted in a place where the victim has a right to be, such as within one's own home. State v. Allery, 101 Wash.2d 591, 682 P.2d 312 (1984). The Model Penal Code § 3.04(2)(b)(ii) suggests statutory language that also recognizes an exception to the usual duty to retreat when the victim of the attack is in his or her own dwelling or place of work. Many states employ "stand your ground" laws that do not require an individual to retreat and allow one to match force for force, deadly force for deadly force. Such as with the Washington State Supreme Court affirming state laws by ruling "that there is no duty to retreat when a person is assaulted in a place where he or she has a right to be."[1][2][/release]

Plus Wiki usually lists the States which practice law in mention, there is no such list on that page. Ninja' broke my automerge [editline]03:58PM[/editline] Ah wait a second, there is a bit more of a comprehensive list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Doctrine_in_the_United_States#State-by-state_positions New Jersey, Michigan and Hawaii seem to be the only states which somewhat practices the "Duty To Retreat" A.C.I.D
Yes because being drunk makes you want to break into people's houses and threaten 12 and 15 year olds for the hell of it. [editline]11:01PM[/editline]
so when a person breaks into your house the only options are to run away or kill them. glad you see the world in black and white. i never said they don't exist, i said a teenager on an internet forum doesn't represent everyone at home with a gun, way to read.
lol, sgtcrazy... you came in here with a fucking attitude that it's either kill or be killed ffs you're a fucking hypocrite.
alcohol made me want to fix my friends car with woodscrews alcohol makes you do weird shit. and that lady who killed the guy with the shotgun a few months ago, the guy was drunk and throwing chairs at the house for no reason.
Seems to me to be the easiest and safest option. Disregarding gunning down someone as soon as they set foot in your property with no warning.
You see, in this case, he didn't just "set foot" on their property, he was trying to break into their house. He wasn't some drunkard just walking by.
So the alternative is murder
The alternative is self defense.

Holy shit Warhol you are such a god damn tool. You obviously never been in a situation before where some drugged up fuck broke into your house and shot all your cats and stole some random shit, and I probably would have been shot dead too if I was home. I bet if some person shot someone to defend against getting raped, you'd probably tell her she should have just took it like a man.
because not liking guns = trolling right? [editline]11:56PM[/editline] it's not really flaming.
Yes it is. You outright called him "a generalizing fuckwit"
if you can run away, it's not exactly self-defense
Of course, I'm referring to when you can't. Also, people very rarely run away from their own homes due to the mental connection of ''My House = Safe''
I think he should get psychiatry sessions, that might make you a bit loopy being 15 and shooting a person that tried to break into you home, even though he didnt kill him
He survived and fled. Shit, that'd make me feel like the fucking Batman.
>insinuating people should run from their own homes
He survived and fled. Shit, that'd make me feel like the fucking Batman.
True shit, I can just imagine the pussy he is pulling at school now. "Yeah, fucker tried to step to me."
this about sums it up
this about sums it up
lol, because a woman raped and chocked with her own pantyhose is apparently on the forefront of every person who's for gun controls mind you're a fuck wit, kmm
lol, because a woman raped and chocked with her own pantyhose is apparently on the forefront of every person who's for gun controls mind you're a fuck wit, kmm
It is. A firearm will allow anyone of any size and build to defend themselves. A five foot tall, 90 pound woman can quickly turn the tides on a six foot five, 250 pound muscular man with a firearm. Nothing, not even an air taser, has that kind of power. This is a huge portion of why concealed carry laws are in place.
lol, because a woman raped and chocked with her own pantyhose is apparently on the forefront of every person who's for gun controls mind you're a fuck wit, kmm
Why do you need to resort to insults? I haven't said a single derogatory word to you throughout this whole thread.
lol, because a woman raped and chocked with her own pantyhose is apparently on the forefront of every person who's for gun controls mind you're a fuck wit, kmm
That's EXACTLY the problem bro. A women being raped and murdered is not on the forefront of the minds of people for gun control. If it was they wouldn't be for gun control.
# 1 United States: 11,877,218 # 2 United Kingdom: 6,523,706 bubb uh, how does that not make sense at all lol?
Population of the Untied States: 309,636,000 Population of the Untied Kingdom: 62,041,708 So it would be # 1 United Kingdom: 32 618 530 # 2 United States: 11,877,218 If you adjust for population
Why do you need to resort to insults? I haven't said a single derogatory word to you throughout this whole thread.
he does it when he's backed into a corner with no feasible rebuttals left happens all the time
You know, I live in a shitty neighborhood. About three weeks ago, my next door neighbor's house was burglarized while they were out of town, and the piping and air conditioning was stripped. About a year ago, my other neighbor's house was set on fire for calling the police on a group of teenagers who were out drinking and shooting fireworks at other people. Every night I hear sirens because someone has been robbed, attacked, or killed. Every night I hear gangs and thugs attacking each other. About eight months ago a man was stabbed at an apartment block less than a mile away and left to die. I live here because I am paying to get a good education, so that when I finish my education, I can get a well-paid job where I don't have to worry about that stuff. I do not own a firearm, but I would sleep more soundly every night if I knew there was one easily accessible because I could keep myself alive if something happened. Because I would be even just a little bit safer. I'd rather not shoot someone, but I will if it comes down to it. I don't fight people. Argue sure; but I don't fight people. I'm not strong in anyway so if I had to fight, I'd be pretty much unable to do anything. Force is not something I advocate without due cause, but if there is cause, I encourage it entirely.

But yeah, I keep a loaded firearm near me because I'd rather have to replace the carpet than let my family have to buy a coffin for me.
