FLORIDA: Anti-Gay Group Launches MTV Boycott Over Transgender Character - Polidicks

It's from the show Degrassi, which isn't actually often aired on MTV, but rather Teennick. It is a Canadian show One of the characters is a "girl born in a guy's body", and has not gotten surgery yet (in the show), so is technically a lesbian I guess but it goes farther than that (she/he dates a girl who is a lesbian, but leaves her as the girl wants a girl, and not a transgender). It is a topic that is obviously not explored on tv if it is causing this much of an outrage, and I think it is probably beneficial to real transgenders out there.

Degrassi has been shown in the U.S. for awhile on The N. It's a great show because it explores a lot of issues that people go through in high school and such.

If you've gotten surgery, you're a transsexual. If you believe the gender you SHOULD be is a different one from the gender you were born in, you're transgendered. I studied this shit in college. Gay men and lesbian women are perfectly happy being men and women, it's just that they prefer to fuck the same sex.

It's not looking for attention. Not everything exploring something is a bandwagon

Tried watching a few episodes. Didn't care afterward, its a show that goes after diversity of all kinds which is amazing awesome for a show but that's all it really does.

The funny thing is that transsexuals aren't gay. They're just people who feel like they're in the wrong body. And what's wrong if kids want to dress up as the opposite sex?
