I was born in Taiwan to two American parents. It's shocking to me that if one didn't have American citizenship and my parents weren't married, I would be at risk of being deported to a country I left when I was two years old. I have no memory of Taiwan. I speak very, very little of the language. I don't have Taiwanese citizenship. I would be effectively stateless if Taiwan didn't decide to grant me citizenship. It is reprehensible to know that some of my friends will be effectively stateless, or otherwise deported to a country where they can barely speak the language and have next to no familial connections. This is by far the most disgusting action Trump has made. I've had two friends on Facebook already come out and say they were DACA recipients, and that they're now at threat of deportation. I couldn't be more fucking pissed off right now - Trump needs to be removed from office fucking immediately. I'm fucking ashamed of my country.
Watch the fool state that he'll veto any attempt to pass DACA that doesn't include provisions for budgeting the wall and the appointment of folks necessary for its construction. Because he's got to 'win'. "Either I get my wall or I'll hold DACA over your heads, GOP"
Vetoes can be overridden at least.
I'm here wondering how long this sham will last When will literally everyone - people, companies, institutions - decide that enough is enough, and demand action, because clearly there's still too much complacency
Lol remember how Trump scrapped DACA to avoid a lawsuit?
Well Sarah Sanders just joinned my list of people with worthless opinions that I shouldnt listen to.
Why was that donkey-jawed stroke victim not on your list from day one? I don't think Sarah Huckabee Sanders has ever been remotely likable or trustworthy since her first day on the job.
I don't understand what Trump's position on the Dreamers is. During the campaign he made out like all of them need to be deported ASAP, now he's scrapped DACA but justified it on constitutional grounds and seemingly challenged Congress to pass a pathway to citizenship???
The issue of these dreamers has been a thing since way before even Obama was President, pretty sure it was first an issue sometime around 2001. If Congress couldn't have passed legislation for those dreamers in 16 years, Congress probably wont be able to do it in the next 6 months. Trump knows that.
