Same reason. Though I really like Chrome now, just have to press 'g' to go to gmail 'y' for youtube etc etc. Plus the most visited tabs page.
You can do this?
I absolutely love seeing that steadily declining IE line.
You are an idiot. It lets you decide which scripts to run on any website. This is incredibly useful against drive by attacks and other exploits. A few extra clicks is worth it, unless you're fat, lazy, or just autistic.
I'd like to see anyone exploit javascript on any browser apart from IE.
ITT chrome fanboys blindly defending their precious browser
i've seen more proof in one post by a chrome user than the entirety of the firefox dick-wavers in this thread [editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
You can do this?
if you type in a url so many times, when you start to type it Chrome will guess which website you're typing based on how often they're visited, so it's just a matter of selecting the correct one, which is usually the first option
to get to facepunch in chrome: type "facep" in the omnibar first result in the dropdown.
I like firefox simply because of how much I can customize it. Chrome is good too but I don't like it because (in my opinion) it's too plain.
I visited it so much in Firefox it was showing me Facepunch as soon as I pressed F I switched to Chrome for performance reasons but I seriously miss FF's UI
eh the only reason I like Chrome is because it gives me more viewing space and I have cool things like Chrome to Phone for resuming browsing on my Xoom, but other than that it goes down to preference and it's like Mac vs. PC, neither is objectively better but people will still think that whatever platform they use is the best.

But it actually allowed you to customize it and make it work how you wanted it to. Chrome, on the other hand, forces you to work how it wants you to. But I was willing to give up the customizability for the blazing fast rendering
lol, I don't care as long as get online. :v: I hate IE tho.
I'm in the process of switching from Firefox to Chrome. First impression was "Wow, this is fast". Recently my FF has made a habit freezing randomly and crash Flash Player, or just refusing to load pages. It's also a pretty big memory hog, though I guess some of the add-ons are to blame. Only thing holding me back is some of the aforementioned add-ons which I really miss (like Imgur shortcuts).
Yea I'm thinking about using chrome soon, something has happened to facepunch with my firefox and it's really annoying.
to get to facepunch in chrome: type "facep" in the omnibar first result in the dropdown.
I've got it as a shortcut. That's because typing 'face' autocompletes facebook for me. I just can't go without it any more. 404s fucking everywhere when I use a different browser. On topic, it's nice to see IE steadily declining. It's bloated, outdated, it's well overdue for a horrible death.
All hail Google! I have nothing against Firefox, I have it installed. It's nice to see the gradual downfall of IE. It's like an obese monster that's falling down slowly.
Chrome is great. It just feels really clean compared to other browsers, and I enjoy the features like the omnibox which streamline the process of browsing. Also, the ability to create "applications" from webpages (run the page without nav-bars, in shortcut form) is brilliant:

I switched to chrome awhile ago. I like the no restart app install and that one tab won't crash everything.
Firefox takes 10 seconds to start then laggs for 5 seconds before you can use it. So i changed to chrome, however i yet to find a good translating plugin.
The only reason I'm sticking to firefox for now is the tree style tabs addon, i just cant live without that when researching stuff.

oprah is the best browser out theyre
God IE7 was ugly.
Not to mention the "HERPADERP UR SENDING INFORMATION ALONG THE INTERNETS" warnings...
I like to use IE9 just because I can browse fullscreen. I tried chrome, but whenever I want to type a new URL in, I have to go outta fullscreen. I'm too much of a lazy fuck to do that.
I'd rather not support Google. Mozilla Project for open source and free goodness for me
At this point I just switch between Firefox and Chrome depending on what I'm doing. Though I mostly just use Chrome for battlelog because it uses less memory than Firefox and I kind of need that for battlefield 3. I may switch over fully at some point in the future but right now I'm too content with Firefox.
Chrome is for the poor and Irish. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
I like to use IE9 just because I can browse fullscreen.
