Make sure you're using AdBlock Plus for Google Chrome (Not AdBlock), and enable experimental API's
I switched to Chrome back when it was still in beta. The simplified interface appeals to me and it's extremely fast.

It's funny how they are former IE users who just saw a Chrome ad and clicked on it.
Chromes awesome, made the switch last year, thank god I did
ITT: Firefox users being snobbish about "open source" and criticizing chrome for how simple and it is Chrome users being snobbish about "sleekness" and criticizing firefox for how much of a RAM hog it is IE users sitting in the corner drooling Opera users being hipsters

That's why you use Chrome Task Manager. You can kill them via that and it shows the memory usage for each and such
Well, I'm stupid and didn't know about that. Thanks!
OH MY GOD SOMEONE IS USING A DIFFERENT BROWSER THAN ME
I rather retain my addon's and personal settings I've came to know and enjoy on my firefox.
Pretty much. I don't have anything against Chrome but my Firefox is highly customized and there are some add-ons that are almost essential for me.
It warms my heart to see how rapidly IE is declining.

And here I was thinking guidos were the opposite of hipsters
Like not use 200mb+ of memory?
Firefox is the one with memory leak problems. At-least for me.
I have Chrome on my pc and Opera on my phone. Love both. Also, WHY all that people still use IE?
Changed from FF to Chrome, I find Chrome to be much faster. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
I have Chrome on my pc and Opera on my phone. Love both. Also, WHY all that people still use IE?
Businesses, old people.
I'd like to know what happenned around July 2009 that increased Opera and Other browsers' use and lowered the firefox and IE stats.
I don't understand why everyone says Firefox is slow or that it hogs RAM. It's might be a problem on netbooks and less powerful machines, but a lot of us have gaming PCs with 4/8Gb of RAM. I notice no difference in speed and responsiveness between the two.
I changed to chrome since I have habit of loading a page, looking at it for a bit then closing the entire window, then barely a few minutes later open it up again, etc. For Firefox that startup took aages (doesn't help that I used it during the time i used to download any addon that looked cool, and usually ended up broken during an update), but chrome is nice and fast! Firefox 5 doesnt seem that bad though, they've finally installed it on the computers at school when they upgraded to 7.
Except the latest firefox version is 8 :v:
Running Firefox 11.0a1 here bro
Running Firefox 11.0a1 here bro
Isn't that a nightly/beta/whatever? If so, that doesn't count.
Using Opera most of the time, but when it fails me Chrome will be there to save me. Whatever people say, I like both. Each time the word Firefox, Chrome, IE and Opera are used the only thing we get is chats like this, which browser is better. It's funny to say the least.
I went from Firefox to Chrome back to Firefox because of school compatibilities. That and I prefer Firefox's password manager and script-friendliness.
Make sure you're using AdBlock Plus for Google Chrome (Not AdBlock), and enable experimental API's
You also need the experimental version of Adblock Plus which is not on the Chrome web store.
Chrome feels so much smoother than Firefox. gotta go fast
And here I was thinking guidos were the opposite of hipsters
I still lol'd though. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
I have Chrome on my pc and Opera on my phone. Love both. Also, WHY all that people still use IE?
To be fair, IE9 is pretty decent. Heck it's faster than Firefox.
To be fair, IE9 is pretty decent. Heck it's faster than Firefox.
Except it's still terribly insecure and takes a shit on all standards.
Chrome is better and faster than Firefox, but Chrome doesn't have the Firebug plugin, which is very handy for web development.
Doesn't matter to me how much faster Chrome is than Firefox. I've gotten along fast and fine with Firefox and I love it more than Chrome.
most people here don't use chrome because they're afraid to leave everything they've done in firefox, lol seriously, it's not hard to trade one or two apps and a few favorites for a much faster browser. you can do most of it in chrome too, if you take some of your time.
I just switched from Chrome to Firefox because Chrome kept losing internet connection Maybe I tipped the scale back. :v:
